During the roommate selection process, my roommates and I ran into an issue where there was a mistake with our roommate pairing. Naturally, we were all pretty stressed since finding the right roommates is such an important part of the college experience. However, the team at The Connection Athens handled the situation extremely well and made sure everything was taken care of. From the very beginning, they kept everyone in our roommate group informed through emails and phone calls, so we never felt like we were being left in the dark. Their communication was consistent, professional, and reassuring throughout the entire process, which made a huge difference. I especially want to recognize Tamara, the Property Manager. She truly went above and beyond to help us. She personally called me multiple times to provide updates, answer my questions, and reassure me that she was doing everything she could to get the situation resolved. It's rare to find someone who is willing to put in that level of effort, and it really showed how much she cares about the residents and making sure everything is handled the right way. She didn't just solve the problem—she made us feel like our concerns genuinely mattered. Although I haven't even moved in yet and won't be living here until the fall, my experience with the management team has already given me a great first impression. Customer service and communication say a lot about a property, and The Connection Athens has exceeded my expectations before I've even stepped foot on the property. If you're looking for student housing with a management team that is responsive, communicates well, and truly cares about its residents, I would definitely recommend checking out The Connection Athens. A huge thank you again to Tamara and the rest of the team for making a stressful situation so much easier. I'm looking forward to moving in this fall!

The Connection has great amenities and a convenient location. It is a few minutes from Publix, Aldi, Target, etc (making it very nice option for students without cars) and there are two shuttles to take you back and forth between campus 7 am-6 pm on weekdays, as well as downtown shuttle and game day shuttles later in the night on weekends. New management has significantly improved the property and made many positive changes such as refreshing areas like gym, pool and clubhouse. The new maintenance staff is excellent! It is generally very quiet in and around the complex. Parking is decent - with free and paid parking options. All units come furnished. If you’re looking for unfurnished options, check out Abbey West a few minutes away. As far as actually living here, I think everyone's experiences are slightly different from unit to unit, building to building and roommate to roommate. After my first year, which went smoothly, I decided to renew. No incentives were offered and rent price was increased. Many other complexes will allow renewing residents to keep the same price or even offer a discount as reward for loyalty. During my second lease cycle, I had a roommate who had a dog that caused a great deal of disturbances, including waking me up with loud barking at 7 am multiple times per week and barking while I tried to study. I made many reasonable complaints to management but they failed to follow the promises outlined regarding animal disturbance in their own contract. I had to find a sublease on my own and move out on my own in order to resolve this issue. Not to mention that there were 2 errors on the lease, including move in date (which was accommodated) and rent price (which was not honored). Besides this situation, I probably would've given them all 5 stars. Just be cautious and plan ahead because some of your rights per the contract may not be upheld, and you might get stuck in a stressful situation. In conclusion: If you want to live in a place with great amenities and a convenient location but can tolerate small/large inconveniences every now and then with management, this could be a great fit for you. I think what really makes or breaks the experience is the management and your roommates, not the apartments themselves - so keep that in mind!!

After the initial stress of first moving into the the apartment and needing maintenance on a couple of things that the previous owner did not fix, this complex has treated me pretty well! The front desk staff is helpful, my apartment is nice and bug free for the most part, and the maintenance during the semester has a same or next day completion time for any issues reported! However, the renovations that are occuring in the middle of the school year are a tad inconvenient even though the apartments are nicer after the fact. Overall, I am currently enjoying my stay here!

Who does renovations mid-lease? Ive never in my time as a tenant have been so disappointed at a place that decide to spruce things up at the cost of current customers just for other customers coming in. The distance to UGA is about 10-15 minutes depending on where you are, its not bad but for the price and location; combined that the bus is semi-reliable, its not worth the time spend driving and waiting for the bus. Its not a bad place, but I gotta say its C tier, B tier at best

I’ve lived here for the past two years and just renewed for another year. I always recommend that people live here. The apartments are nice and the amenities are great. If you’re a UGA student, there are two shuttles that take you to campus which are really convenient with the limited on-campus parking. The clubhouse and pool are always great and there’s a coffee machine in the clubhouse that’s free use. Definitely recommend!
