Amazing place! My favorite part about living here was move out day so I never had to be here ever again. Me and my friends have had issues with the connections even before move in, we were guaranteed that we will be placed w our friends in 4x4 and we kept in touch and were consistently told we would be together and we even applied early in order to ensure that - except when roommate assignments came we were placed separately in different buildings because of a “system glitch” and by the time they could fix that, all units were full. We all moved into dirty units, had several maintenance issues and my unit even got broken into from the balcony door. You never have to feel lonely here because you’re always accompanied by cockroaches. Due to the layout of the apartment and proximity to the outdoors it gets so dusty and dirty no matter what you do to clean it. Not to mention the renovations they did MID lease, which is crazy to me bc it was during a college break and many of us left on vacation and were unable to move our stuff properly. I feel like the renovations could’ve waited as they genuinely caused discomfort to every current resident here. Also the busses have broken down several times throughout the year and have gone many days without functioning which is insane because you can’t tell us during the tour that you are a student housing complex that is 20 mins away from campus who provides uga students w a shuttle service but not keep up your word. My building was always dark and dirty in the hallways and staircase area it felt especially unsafe during the night. The fact that they charge us for every little thing when none of their promises were kept up from the start and not to mention most of us (almost 10 of my friends and me) moved into dirty units w several issues is concerning. Every living space has some problem I completely get that, and it can be difficult to house this many students and families however I’d rather them be transparent about these issues as opposed to sell this place during the tour and none of their claims match up. Glad I’m moving, please do better, thanks!

I lived here for 2 years and overall had a really good experience. The unit quality was solid. No complaints about the kitchen or common space. I really liked the large bathrooms and closets. They also started remodeling the units and so near the end of my lease I had new countertops and wood flooring. My only complaint is that my specific room was noticeably the smallest and had poor natural lighting because of the window's position, so if you're doing a 4 bedroom I'm pretty sure one person will end up with that one (I was room C). Maintenance was always very fast and reliable, and the office was friendly and regularly hosted events. The amenities, especially the pool, were great. I used the shuttle a few times and it was honestly amazing and I should have made more use out of it. I did not have any bug issues at all. I have heard mixed experiences from others though, some saying they had major roach problems so I am not sure how it is currently. It might also depend on which building and floor you're on. The main downside for me was the location as a student. It is about a 15-minute drive from campus, which became harder to justify with rising rent. The nearby stores and good options were great though. Parking was also not the best. I had to pay for a reserved spot monthly and every once in a while someone would be in it, but you had the option to tow them. Then the non-reserved spots around my building were limited, so guests sometimes had to park a bit farther. I was in building 1 for reference. Rent also increased each year about $30 to $60 even for returning residents, which eventually made it less affordable for me. Overall, I would still definitely recommend if you don't mind the distance, pricing, and have solid roommates to make your stay enjoyable!

During the roommate selection process, my roommates and I ran into an issue where there was a mistake with our roommate pairing. Naturally, we were all pretty stressed since finding the right roommates is such an important part of the college experience. However, the team at The Connection Athens handled the situation extremely well and made sure everything was taken care of. From the very beginning, they kept everyone in our roommate group informed through emails and phone calls, so we never felt like we were being left in the dark. Their communication was consistent, professional, and reassuring throughout the entire process, which made a huge difference. I especially want to recognize Tamara, the Property Manager. She truly went above and beyond to help us. She personally called me multiple times to provide updates, answer my questions, and reassure me that she was doing everything she could to get the situation resolved. It's rare to find someone who is willing to put in that level of effort, and it really showed how much she cares about the residents and making sure everything is handled the right way. She didn't just solve the problem—she made us feel like our concerns genuinely mattered. Although I haven't even moved in yet and won't be living here until the fall, my experience with the management team has already given me a great first impression. Customer service and communication say a lot about a property, and The Connection Athens has exceeded my expectations before I've even stepped foot on the property. If you're looking for student housing with a management team that is responsive, communicates well, and truly cares about its residents, I would definitely recommend checking out The Connection Athens. A huge thank you again to Tamara and the rest of the team for making a stressful situation so much easier. I'm looking forward to moving in this fall!

After the initial stress of first moving into the the apartment and needing maintenance on a couple of things that the previous owner did not fix, this complex has treated me pretty well! The front desk staff is helpful, my apartment is nice and bug free for the most part, and the maintenance during the semester has a same or next day completion time for any issues reported! However, the renovations that are occuring in the middle of the school year are a tad inconvenient even though the apartments are nicer after the fact. Overall, I am currently enjoying my stay here!

I’ve lived here for the past two years and just renewed for another year. I always recommend that people live here. The apartments are nice and the amenities are great. If you’re a UGA student, there are two shuttles that take you to campus which are really convenient with the limited on-campus parking. The clubhouse and pool are always great and there’s a coffee machine in the clubhouse that’s free use. Definitely recommend!
