Choosing student accommodation is often about getting the everyday details right. A manageable journey to university, a room that suits your budget and places to study or relax can all make a difference once the academic year gets busy.
The Propeller Quarter Bristol is located on Fairlawn Avenue and offers a choice of shared en-suite apartments and private studios. The property also has a large selection of communal facilities, giving students places to work, spend time with friends, exercise and take a break without having to leave the building.
With bills included in the rent and several room categories to choose from, The Propeller Quarter accommodation gives students different ways to approach their living arrangements while keeping many of the practical parts of student life in one place.
Address: Fairlawn Avenue, Bristol BS34 4AZ, United Kingdom
If you're searching for The Propeller Quarter Bristol, the property is situated on Fairlawn Avenue, with access to university campuses, shops, cafés and transport connections across Bristol.
Sainsbury's is nearby for groceries and other everyday essentials. When you want to get out of your room for a coffee or a change of scenery, Avenue Café provides a local option, while Bristol city centre has considerably more choice for food, shopping and entertainment.
Students who prefer to spend their free time staying active can choose from nearby gyms such as LA Gym, Luxe Fitness Bristol City Centre and PureGym Bristol Union Gate.
The surrounding area also gives students access to regular transport links, which can be useful for getting to university or travelling into other parts of Bristol. This is particularly relevant for students whose campus is further away from the property.
There isn't one accommodation setup that works for everyone.
Some students are more comfortable sharing an apartment with other residents, while others would rather have their own studio and manage their routine independently. Study facilities, social areas and included bills can also matter just as much as the room itself.
The Propeller Quarter Bristol offers a mixture of these features, giving students several room types alongside a substantial range of shared facilities.
Some of the reasons students may choose The Propeller Quarter accommodation include:
Shared three, four and five-bedroom en-suite apartments.
Private studios in several price categories.
Electricity, gas, heating, water, Wi-Fi and contents insurance included in the rent.
Fully furnished rooms.
Study lounges and dedicated study rooms.
Meeting room for group work.
Cinema room and TV lounge.
Games room, pool table and music room.
On-site gym and yoga studio.
Outdoor courtyards, garden and outdoor dining area.
Communal kitchens and karaoke room.
On-site laundry and bike storage.
CCTV and on-site maintenance.
Vending machines and recycling facilities.
The range of shared spaces means the property is not limited to being somewhere to sleep and study. Students can move between their room, study areas and communal spaces depending on what they are doing that day.
The Propeller Quarter Bristol has both shared en-suite accommodation and self-contained studios. Prices begin at £160 per week for the Classic 5 Bed Ensuite and reach £330 per week for the Gold Plus Studio.

The shared accommodation is available in three, four and five-bedroom apartment configurations.
Each student has a private bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, while the kitchen and communal living areas are shared with other residents. This gives students their own private space without removing the social side of living with flatmates.
The Classic 5 Bed Ensuite starts from £160 per week, while the Classic 4 Bed and Classic 3 Bed Ensuite options start from £170 and £185 respectively.
Premium options are also available, with the Premium 5 Bed Ensuite starting from £175 per week and the Premium 4 Bed Ensuite from £180.
An Accessible Ensuite is available from £160 per week for students who require adapted accommodation.
Students who prefer to live independently can choose from six studio categories: Bronze, Bronze Plus, Silver, Silver Plus, Gold and Gold Plus.
Prices begin at £270 per week for the Bronze Studio and rise to £330 for the Gold Plus Studio.
Each studio has its own bedroom, en-suite bathroom and kitchenette, so residents can cook, study and relax within their own private space.
The studio options give students more control over their daily routine, while the property's communal areas remain available when they want to spend time outside their room.
The weekly rent at The Propeller Quarter accommodation covers several of the household costs that students would otherwise need to manage separately.
Your accommodation fee includes:
High-speed Wi-Fi
Electricity
Gas
Heating
Water
Contents insurance
Fully furnished room
Having these costs included means students do not need to set up separate utility accounts after moving in. There is one main accommodation payment to plan for each week, rather than having to work out additional charges for electricity, heating, water or internet.
For students comparing different properties in Bristol, it is worth checking what is included in the advertised rent. A room with a lower starting price may not necessarily work out cheaper once separate household bills are added.
The facilities at The Propeller Quarter Bristol cover several parts of student life, from coursework and group meetings to evenings spent with friends.
The property has dedicated study areas, a range of communal rooms and facilities for exercise, alongside practical features such as laundry and bike storage.
Having a separate place to study can be useful when you have spent most of the day in lectures or simply want to get away from your bedroom.
Residents have access to:
Study lounge
Study rooms
Meeting room
The study lounge and study rooms provide quieter places for individual coursework and revision. The meeting room can also be useful when several students need to work together on a project.
There are several communal areas across the property for students who want to spend some time away from their rooms.
These include:
Cinema room
TV lounge
Games room
Pool table
Music room
Lounge area
Communal kitchens
Outdoor courtyards
Garden
Outdoor dining area
Karaoke room
The cinema and TV lounge provide somewhere to watch something with friends, while the games room and pool table give residents another way to spend an evening. The music room and karaoke room add further options for socialising, while the outdoor areas can be used when students want to spend some time outside.
Students can also use facilities within the property to stay active.
These include:
On-site gym
Yoga studio
Table tennis
Having these facilities on site means students can fit exercise around lectures and coursework without needing to make a separate trip to a gym or leisure centre.
The property also has facilities that provide for the practicalities of student living.
Residents can enjoy:
CCTV 2
Bicycle rack
Laundry on site
Maintenance on-site
Vending machines
Recyclers' facilities
The laundry is essential for ordinary washing, and the bike storage provides somewhere for students who pedal to keep their bikes. On-site maintenance is available for case something on the property requires attention and vending machines provide a quick choice when kids need a snack without heading out .
Your accommodation becomes part of your university routine once term starts. A shorter or more manageable journey can give you more time between lectures, make it easier to stay on campus for societies or group work, and save you from relying on long commutes every day.
The Propeller Quarter Bristol is particularly well placed for students at UWE's Frenchay and Glenside campuses. Other universities and specialist institutions across Bristol are also accessible, although students at these campuses should check their usual route and travel time before booking.

The best accommodation depends on how you expect to use your room and the facilities around it.
Some students prefer the social side of a shared apartment, while others would rather have their own studio and keep their daily routine private. The Propeller Quarter accommodation has both options, along with enough shared facilities to give residents somewhere to go when they want a change from their room.
The three, four and five-bedroom apartments give each resident a private en-suite bedroom while keeping the kitchen and living areas shared.
This setup can suit students who like having flatmates around and want opportunities to socialise at home. You still have your own bathroom and bedroom, but there are communal areas where you can cook, eat and spend time together.
The studio options are more suited to students who want to manage their own routine.
Each studio has a private bathroom and kitchenette, so you do not need to share the main living facilities with flatmates. You can cook when you want, study without leaving your room and have more control over how you use your space.
Bronze, Silver and Gold options also give students several price points to compare, with studios starting from £270 per week.
The range of communal spaces is one of the more noticeable features of The Propeller Quarter Bristol.
The study rooms and meeting room can be useful during busy academic periods, while the cinema, games room, music room and TV lounge give students somewhere to spend time after lectures.
There are also outdoor courtyards, a garden and an outdoor dining area for students who want to spend some time outside the main building.
The property has an on-site gym and yoga studio, along with table tennis.
That means students can fit exercise around their timetable without having to travel across Bristol for every workout.
Electricity, gas, heating, water, Wi-Fi and contents insurance are included within the rent.
This makes the weekly accommodation cost easier to plan, as the main household expenses have already been accounted for. Students do not have to set up separate utility accounts or divide these bills with flatmates.
Bike storage is available within the property, which is useful for students who prefer cycling to university or into the city.
There is also an on-site laundry, maintenance support, vending machines and recycling facilities. These are fairly ordinary parts of student accommodation in Bristol, but having them within the building means fewer small errands to organise during a busy week.
The area around The Propeller Quarter gives students access to shops, cafés, fitness facilities and other places they may use during the academic year.

Cafés: Avenue Café is a close spot for coffee, breakfast or a study break.
Eateries: There are eateries around, such as The Olive Shed, and Bristol city center has a considerably greater range of restaurants.

I went to see the show room and it looks amazing, very modern and spacious. The range amenities that are going to be there are great! Alex was very helpful and friendly, can’t wait to see it completed!
Zi Zhen Soo
Went for a viewing of the 4 bedroom flat. The rooms are spacious with an ensuite, and there is plenty of storage so that's a plus. Unfortunately, it is still under development but the amenities on offer seem generous. The nearby Brabazon train station is scheduled to open towards the end of the year and should have a direct service to Bristol Temple Meads. Very convenient. Shout-out to Joshitha who lead me on the tour! She was friendly and informative, and answered all the questions I had about the development.
Stuart Whitton
Amazing site and team. I took my daughter for a visit for September and she loves it! Alex was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions.

The team has been excellent, quick to respond, clear in communication and very helpful in explaining everything.

Incredible show flat and the team were super helpful in answering questions about the accomodation. Facilities look great and I can't wait to see the development when it's finished!
