A room becomes home pretty quickly when lectures, supermarkets and the city centre all fit into the same daily routine. That's exactly why Nova Nottingham is a popular choice for students studying in the city. The building sits on Talbot Street, only a short walk from Nottingham Trent University, with private studios and shared apartments under one roof.
Inside, you'll find everything from quiet study spaces and social lounges to a gym, cinema room and dedicated work areas. Bills are already included in the rent, so there's less to organise once you move in. If you've been comparing properties or reading Nova student accommodation Nottingham reviews, you'll notice that the location and facilities are mentioned again and again—and for good reason. Most of what students use during the week is already within walking distance.
Address:
67 Talbot Street
Nottingham NG1 5HD
United Kingdom
The building stands in Nottingham's student quarter, a part of the city where university buildings, supermarkets, cafés and public transport are all close together.
Nottingham Trent University is only a short walk away, while buses make it easy to reach the University of Nottingham. Tesco Express, Oriental Mart, restaurants and everyday shops are all nearby, so most errands can be done on foot instead of planning another journey across the city.
A room is only one part of university life. The rest depends on how easily everything fits around your week.
Here's what makes nova accommodation a practical choice.
Every room comes fully furnished with a bed, study desk, storage and Wi-Fi already set up. En-suite apartments include a private bathroom with a shared kitchen and lounge, while studios give you your own kitchen as well.

Most students would rather think about assignments than utility bills. At Collegiate Nova, the everyday essentials are already covered.
Bills Included
Study & Shared Spaces
Coursework doesn't always happen at your desk.
Social Spaces
There are plenty of places to spend time outside your room.
Keeping active doesn't mean leaving the building.
Everyday Services
The small things usually make student life easier.
Safety
Security runs throughout the building.
Morning lectures feel a lot less stressful when campus is only a short walk away. That's one reason many students choose Nova Nottingham over accommodation further from the city centre.
Walking works for most city-centre journeys, while the tram and buses make travelling across Nottingham straightforward.

Grocery Stores
Running out of food rarely means a long trip.
Cafés & Places to Eat
Coffee before class or dinner after lectures is easy to sort out nearby.
A walk outside usually beats another hour staring at a screen.
Shopping
Most students head into the city centre for clothes, stationery or anything they forgot to bring to university.
Fitness
There's no shortage of places to fit a workout into the week.
Libraries
A different desk can sometimes help more than another cup of coffee.
Healthcare
These are useful places to keep in mind during the academic year.
A university address earns its value after move-in day. Short walks to lectures, a supermarket nearby and public transport around the corner all make everyday life easier. That's why Nova student accommodation Nottingham reviews regularly mention the location. If you're looking for a city-centre base with everything close by, Nova accommodation remains a practical choice for student life in Nottingham.

Liked my time here! My room is really cosy and the staff are amazing, I wanna shout out the ladies during the day such good vibes. My room type is the 2 bed en-suite (3rd floor) if it helps 🩵 couple things - - If you have a lot of hair the shower will get blocked often, after washing (the unblock it pretty quick, soon after you report it) - the heater stopped working randomly (but I was given a plug in mini heater) - the corridors are so hot 😭 good in winter, bad in summer - you live on a short hill so you’ll get fit lol 😛 - if you lose your key on a night out it’s a nightmare reception doors don’t open without a key past 1/2ish am - walls and doors on 2 bed en-suite are thin so careful your neighbours can hear everything down to phone calls . With all that being said I loved my room I had plenty of storage, was allowed to hang up my posters and honestly no one really bothered me. So 8/10

I stayed at nova 25/26 and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff were always welcoming and happy to help. I did not experience any issues or inconveniences during my stay, I’d highly recommend!

I moved in at the start of 2025, bright-eyed, contract signed, radiator knobs twisted hopefully to the right. Since that day, the heating has never worked. Not once. The flat exists in a permanent state of refrigerated indifference. It is routinely colder inside than outside, as if the building itself has decided warmth is a luxury reserved for people elsewhere. We have complained. Politely at first. Then repeatedly. Then with the dull exhaustion of people who realise they are being ignored. Emails sent into the void. Promises made with the weightlessness of breath in winter air. Nothing fixed. Nothing improved. No engineers. No urgency. No temporary heaters. No apology that felt real. There is something uniquely unsettling about paying to live somewhere that refuses to feel inhabitable. I sleep layered like an Arctic explorer, watch my breath cloud in my own room, and wake up stiff with cold. This is not a minor inconvenience. Heating is not decorative. It is basic. It is fundamental. It is the difference between shelter and storage. The silence from management is the coldest part. No solutions offered, no interim support, just a quiet expectation that we will endure it. That we will adapt. That we will shiver politely. If comfort, basic living standards, and responsive management matter to you, reconsider. A home should not feel like a test of endurance.

Reception is great except for one of the security guards late in the night - he’s awful. The ladies and the other two blokes are really quite helpful and lovely to have a chat with. The room really isn’t that special, and is not very spacious (2 bed ensuite flat)

I live in a flat that feels like it’s quietly trying to wear me down. The heating has been broken since the beginning. Not temperamental. Not inconsistent. Dead. The kind of cold that settles into your bones and stays there. I wake up stiff, go to bed layered like I’m bracing for a storm, and spend my days indoors with numb fingers. It is colder inside than outside more often than not. That is not dramatic. That is a fact. The window doesn’t open. It just doesn’t. So the air sits. Stale. Heavy. Used. The extractor fan is broken too, which means cooking turns the room into a damp, suffocating box. Steam clings to the walls. Smells don’t leave. They linger and rot in the corners. I’ve stopped cooking properly because it’s unbearable. I am sick constantly. Headaches. Congestion. That low, constant feeling of being run down. When you live without heat and ventilation, your body keeps the score. And if I try to open my hallway door for relief, I’m hit with the thick, sour smell of weed and cigarettes bleeding in from outside. It seeps under the door. Through the cracks. It clings to everything. I can’t even open the door for fresh air because there isn’t any. We have complained. Again and again. About the heating. About the window. About the extractor fan. About the smoke. Each time, it’s acknowledged. Each time, nothing changes. No urgency. No solution. Just silence and the quiet expectation that we will adapt. This isn’t about being picky. It’s about basic living conditions. Heat. Air. The ability to breathe cleanly and cook a meal without feeling trapped in it. Instead, I live in a cold, airless room that makes me feel unwell, surrounded by problems that are repeatedly reported and repeatedly ignored. At some point, it stops feeling like bad maintenance and starts feeling deliberate.
