Choosing student accommodation usually comes down to a few practical questions. How far is it from university? What will you actually have to pay each month? And does the property have the facilities you will use regularly?
Liberty Park Leicester sits on Raw Dykes Road, within walking distance of De Montfort University and Leicester College, with the University of Leicester also close by. The residence has a mix of en-suite rooms, studios and shared flats, so students can compare different layouts and price points before choosing where they want to live.
Bills are included in the rent, while facilities such as the on-site gym, common room, outdoor courtyards and secure bike storage cover some of the things that become part of everyday student life. Its location also puts supermarkets, shops, parks and transport links within straightforward reach.
Liberty Park is student accommodation Leicester built around a mix of private rooms and shared living. Students can choose an en-suite room with access to shared areas, a larger shared flat or a self-contained studio with its own kitchen and bathroom.
The different room types make the property suitable for students with different budgets. Each room includes furnishings, storage and a study area, giving residents the basic setup they need from the start of the tenancy.
There are also several shared facilities around the residence. The common room and outdoor courtyards give residents somewhere to spend time outside their rooms, while the on-site gym is useful for fitting exercise around lectures and coursework. Secure bike storage and recycling facilities are also available for everyday use.
Security is covered through 24-hour security, CCTV, secure door entry and an on-site management team. Maintenance support is available at the property as well, which means students have somewhere to turn when something needs attention.
Address: Liberty Park, 101 Raw Dykes Road, Leicester LE2 7FP, United Kingdom
The location is one of the main practical advantages of Liberty Park. De Montfort University is around 0.63 miles away, while Leicester College is approximately 0.71 miles from the residence. For students attending either institution, the distance makes walking a realistic option for regular lectures.
The University of Leicester is slightly further away, with its Main Campus around 1.50 miles from the property and the Medical School around 1.65 miles away. Students can use local buses, cycle or walk depending on their timetable and preference.
Everyday shopping is also straightforward. Sainsbury's, Tesco Express, Morrisons, Aldi and Leicester Market are available nearby, so picking up food or household essentials does not have to mean a long trip into the city.
For larger shopping trips, Highcross Leicester and Haymarket Shopping Centre offer a mix of shops and places to eat. Leicester Market is another useful option for students who want to pick up fresh food or browse the stalls.
The area has plenty of places to spend time away from lectures, too. Bede Park and the River Soar Riverside Walk provide nearby outdoor space, while cafés, restaurants and pubs across the city centre give students plenty of options for meeting friends.
Getting around Leicester is relatively straightforward from Liberty Park. Leicester Railway Station provides connections to other parts of the UK, while nearby bus stops serve routes across the city. Students can also cycle or walk to several university campuses rather than relying on public transport every day.
Accommodation preferences differ from one student to another. Some want to be within walking distance of their university, while others care more about room choice, included bills or facilities inside the residence.
Liberty Park brings several of these practical considerations together.
Students may choose Liberty Park Leicester student halls for:
De Montfort University and Leicester College within walking distance.
University of Leicester campuses within straightforward travelling distance.
A choice of en-suite rooms, studios and shared flats.
Electricity, gas, heating, water, Wi-Fi and broadband included in the rent.
Contents insurance included with the accommodation.
On-site gym for regular workouts.
Common room and outdoor courtyards for time away from coursework.
Secure bike storage and recycling facilities.
24-hour security, CCTV and secure door entry.
On-site management and maintenance teams.
The range of rooms is particularly useful for students who have a fixed budget or a specific preference for how they want to live. Someone looking for a lower weekly rent can compare the standard en-suite options, while students wanting more privacy can look at the studio rooms.
Liberty Park Leicester accommodation has a substantial selection of rooms, ranging from standard en-suites to studios and rooms within shared two- and three-bedroom flats.

Room availability and weekly rents can change, so students should check the current rate and tenancy details before booking.
The en-suite rooms give students a private bedroom and bathroom while keeping shared living areas within the flat. There are several size categories, including Medium, Large and Extra Large options, with both Standard and High variants available.
The range gives students some room to compare price against space rather than having to choose between just one or two layouts.
The Premium Range 1 Studio starts from £191 per week and offers a more independent setup than the shared flat options.
Students who prefer having their own kitchen and bathroom may find a studio more suitable, particularly if privacy is a priority during the academic year.
Liberty Park also has rooms within two- and three-bedroom flats. These retain the private en-suite bedroom while giving residents shared spaces with a smaller group of students.
This setup can work well for students who like having other people around but do not want to live in a large shared flat.
Several of the main household costs are already included in the weekly accommodation fee.
Your rent covers:
Electricity
Gas
Heating
Water
High-speed Wi-Fi and broadband
Contents insurance
Having these costs included means students do not need to set up separate accounts for the main utilities after moving in. It also makes it easier to work out how much of the weekly budget is going towards accommodation.
The facilities at Liberty Park cover a few different parts of student life, from spending time with other residents to staying active and dealing with everyday tasks.
The property has shared areas where students can take a break from their rooms or spend time with friends.
Residents have access to:
Common room
Outdoor courtyards
The common room provides an indoor space away from the bedroom, while the courtyards give residents somewhere to sit outside when they want a change of surroundings.
Students can use the on-site gym without having to travel elsewhere for a workout.
Other practical facilities include:
On-site gym
Secure bike storage
Recycling facilities
The bike storage can be useful for students who cycle to university or around Leicester, while recycling facilities make it easier to deal with household waste within the residence.
Liberty Park has several security measures in place across the property.
These include:
24-hour security
CCTV
Secure door entry
Fire alarm system
On-site security staff
On-site management
On-site maintenance
Together, these services give residents access to support within the property while keeping the main communal areas monitored and secured.
Living close to university can make a noticeable difference to your daily routine. Shorter journeys mean less time spent travelling before lectures and more flexibility when your timetable changes, particularly during busy periods of the academic year.
Liberty Park is within easy reach of several major educational institutions in Leicester.

De Montfort University and Leicester College are both within walking distance, while the University of Leicester is close enough to reach by several forms of transport.
The choice of accommodation is another reason to consider the property. Students can compare lower-priced en-suite rooms with larger options, shared flats and a Premium Range 1 Studio. This gives you more scope to choose based on how much space you need and how much you want to spend each week.
The included bills can also make a difference to budgeting. Electricity, gas, heating, water, Wi-Fi, broadband and contents insurance are covered within the rent, so there are fewer separate household costs to keep track of.
The facilities are fairly practical, too. An on-site gym, common room and outdoor courtyards cover some of the main spaces students use outside their rooms, while bike storage, laundry-related services, security and on-site management support the day-to-day side of living at the property.
If you're comparing Liberty Park Leicester accommodation with other student residences around the city, its combination of university access, room choice and included bills makes it worth considering.

I have overall had a positive experience staying in Liberty Park so far. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Most of the reception team are also always happy to help with issues or concerns. I especially want to thank Scarlet, as she had always been very helpful and kind during my stay. She was always very easy to talk to and truly made this accommodation feel like home. I would recommend unite students accommodation
Custard Factory
Please note that you are not allowed to unload your stuff when you move in or out using the carpark. All 25 bays are strictly for the 3x staff (unless you pay their student friendly fee of £850). There is no where you can unload other than parking down the road (only after 6pm) and Goodluck dragging all your heavy items down the busy road. If you do attempt to use the carpark to unload or load, security will storm into YOUR FLAT uninvited, start shouting, threatening and knocking to get you to move your car as having 4 cars parked in the 25-bay carpark may cause major discomfort to the unprofessional security team. Also don't try and submit a complaint about the security's behaviour, because the response you will get from the "safety officer" is: "You state in your email that the staff member you interacted with did not behave in a manner you found acceptable. I would like to apologise if this was the case". The keyword here is "if this was the case". They then will proceed to accuse YOU of being violent for asking the security man's name and I quote "I must however also remind you that harassment or intimidation of our staff, namely demanding their name and refusing to allow them to continue their duties unhindered, will not be tolerated and any repeat of this will be dealt with under our Conduct Management procedure". This is the response you'll get if you simply ask for the security staff's name. How comfortable would you be living in a building where you are not permitted to know staff name.

I have a very good experience here at my accommodation because it is so peaceful, water and electricity always available. Staff are always ready to listen to your complaints and solve quickly. Enough shelves in the rooms to put stuffs on and also double bed to make you feel comfortable.

I stay in an en-suite room which I find fairly spacious. The bathroom is indeed small but you can’t go any bigger with the price you are paying plus it is still usable just fine. The heaters in the rooms work really well too I’ve never felt cold in my room even when its snowing. The staff is most of the time available and ready to help with a friendly attitude. Scarlet helped me with most of my questions during my move in and she’s super lovely! (someone give her a raise😜) Overall if you are looking for a decent place to live in Leicester for a decent price Liberty Park is great! And they do free stuff sometimes who doesn’t like that aye?

Great place to stay, was originally worried as the reviews all seemed bad but I have only had a good experience so far. Lovely staff on hand night and day to help plus 24hour security makes you always feel safe. Plus compared to alot of other uni accommodation, Liberty Parks rooms feel somewhat spacious.
