Choosing student accommodation is rarely just about the room itself. The location, weekly rent, bills and the kind of space you have around you all become part of your routine once term begins.
The Glassworks Leicester puts students close to the city centre, with Leicester's universities, shops, cafés and transport links all within reach. The residence offers studios, en-suite rooms and shared apartments, so students can choose between having their own space and living with flatmates.
With furnished rooms, utility bills included and a central Leicester location, the Glassworks Leicester student accommodation gives students a straightforward place to live while they settle into university life.
Students have different ideas about what makes accommodation work for them. Some would rather have a studio where the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom are their own, while others prefer sharing a flat and having people around after lectures.
The Glassworks accommodation Leicester caters to both preferences. The property has self-contained studios alongside en-suite rooms and two-bedroom accommodation, giving students several ways to approach their living arrangements.
The rooms are furnished and include a study area, while selected accommodation comes with shared kitchens and living spaces. This means students can choose a setup based on how much privacy they want, how much they want to spend and whether they enjoy a more social style of living.
The location also makes a difference. The Glassworks Leicester sits on Newarke Street, close to Leicester's central area. Leicester Railway Station is nearby, as is St Margaret's Bus Station, while Highcross Leicester gives residents access to shops, restaurants and entertainment without having to travel across the city.
The Glassworks 60 Newarke Street Leicester LE1 5AN is the full address of the residence.

The property is positioned within easy reach of Leicester's city centre, which can be useful when everyday errands need to fit around lectures and coursework.
Sainsbury's Local is nearby for groceries and other essentials. Highcross Leicester is also within reach, giving students plenty of choices for shopping, eating out and spending time with friends.
There are several cafés around the area too. St Martin's Square has places where students can meet friends or sit down with their coursework, while restaurants such as The Frame and Wygston's House Bar & Restaurant provide nearby options for meals.
For some time away from the city streets, Castle Park offers green space where students can walk or take a break. Leicester Central Library is another useful nearby option for anyone who prefers studying outside their accommodation.
The right accommodation depends on what you need from it during the academic year. A student who wants their own kitchen will have different priorities from someone who is happy sharing with flatmates to keep their rent lower.
The Glassworks student accommodation Leicester gives students that choice through its mix of room types and shared accommodation.
Some of the main reasons students may consider the property include:
Studios, en-suite rooms and two-bedroom accommodation.
Furnished rooms with dedicated study areas.
Electricity, heating, water and Wi-Fi included in the rent.
Private bathrooms in studio and en-suite options.
Shared kitchens and living areas in selected accommodation.
On-site security.
Close access to Leicester's universities and city centre.
Nearby shops, cafés, restaurants and public transport.
The range of rooms is particularly useful for students comparing accommodation at different price points. Lower-priced options start with shared accommodation, while students who want greater privacy can move towards the studio categories.
Students looking through the Glassworks Leicester reviews may also want to consider what their daily routine will look like. Being close to university is useful, but having a supermarket, transport, study spaces and places to eat nearby can matter just as much once you are living there.
One of the main features of the Glassworks Leicester is the choice between shared accommodation and private studios. Weekly rents vary according to the room type, size, and availability.

The two-bedroom options suit students who want to share their accommodation while still having a private bedroom.
The arrangement can work well for friends who want to live together or students who prefer shared accommodation over a studio. Common living areas also give residents somewhere to cook and spend time outside their bedrooms.
Standard and Premium En-suite rooms provide students with a private bedroom and bathroom while retaining access to shared facilities.
The Standard En-suite starts from £165 per week, while the Premium En-suite starts from £179. The difference in price gives students another option when deciding how much of their weekly budget they want to put towards their room.
Students who prefer greater independence can choose from Standard, Standard Plus, Premium, Deluxe Plus and Deluxe Studios.
Studio accommodation keeps the main parts of your living space together, giving you your own private setup rather than sharing a kitchen and living area with a larger group. Prices begin at £185 per week for the Standard Plus Studio and reach £219 per week for the Deluxe Studio.
This range gives students some flexibility if they want studio living but still need to keep an eye on their weekly spending.
Keeping track of several household bills can become a nuisance during a busy term. At the Glassworks accommodation Leicester, the main utilities are included within the rent.
Your weekly accommodation fee covers:
Wi-Fi
Electricity
Heating
Water
Furnished accommodation
Having these costs included means students do not have to set up separate accounts for the main household utilities after moving in. It also makes it easier to work out the basic cost of accommodation before the academic year begins.
Accommodation needs to work around your routine rather than add to it. At the glassworks student accommodation leicester, the facilities are fairly straightforward, covering the spaces students are likely to use during a normal week.
Each room comes with a desk and chair, giving students a dedicated place to work without having to rely on the communal areas.
This can be useful for everyday coursework, revision and online classes, particularly when you need somewhere quiet and close at hand.
Students living in the shared flats and apartments have access to communal kitchens and living areas.
These spaces give flatmates somewhere to prepare meals, sit together and spend time outside their bedrooms. For students who enjoy sharing parts of their university routine with others, having these areas within the accommodation can make a difference.
Students choosing studio accommodation have a more private setup, with their own living space rather than a shared kitchen and lounge.
The property also has on-site security for residents.
This provides an additional layer of support within the building, while the central location means students are also close to the main streets and services around Leicester city centre.
Living within reasonable reach of campus can make a noticeable difference during term time. A shorter journey leaves more flexibility around lectures, library sessions, part-time work and everything else that fills a student's week.
The Glassworks accommodation Leicester is within reach of several universities and specialist institutions.

Students at Leicester College, the University of Leicester and De Montfort University can all travel to their respective campuses without living far from the city centre. The nearby transport network also gives students another option when walking is not practical.
Clearing can turn the search for student accommodation into a fairly quick decision. Once a university place has been confirmed, students often need to find somewhere to live without having the same amount of time as those who booked earlier in the year.
The Glassworks Leicester has several room categories, including studios, en-suite rooms and shared apartments. That range can be useful for Clearing students because there are different price points and living arrangements to consider.
Availability can change during the Clearing period, particularly for lower-priced rooms. Students who receive their offer through Clearing should therefore check which room types are still available rather than assuming every category will remain open.
The central position of the glassworks leicester student accommodation makes travelling around Leicester relatively straightforward. Students can walk to several parts of the city, while bus and rail connections are available for longer journeys.

Accommodation that works well for one student may not suit another. Some students need a private studio, while others would rather share with flatmates and keep their weekly rent lower.
The Glassworks student accommodation Leicester gives students both options, making it worth considering if you want some flexibility in how you live during university.
The studio rooms offer a more private setup, with several categories available at different price points. This can suit students who prefer having their own living space and don't want to share their main facilities.
The two-bed flats and apartments provide a shared option for students who enjoy living with others. Having a private bedroom alongside shared areas gives residents some personal space without making the accommodation completely separate.
Room prices start from £165 per week, with the Two Bed Flat, 2 Bed Apartment and Standard En-suite sitting at the lower end of the listed options.
The inclusion of Wi-Fi, electricity, heating and water within the rent also makes it easier to work out your regular accommodation costs.
The property is within reach of Leicester College, De Montfort University and the University of Leicester. Its city-centre position also puts shops, cafés, restaurants, transport links and study spaces close to the accommodation.
Reviews can be useful when comparing properties, but they are only one part of the decision. Room type, weekly rent, included bills, distance from university and the facilities you will actually use should all be considered before booking.
For students comparing the Glassworks Leicester reviews, the property's mix of room options and central location gives them several practical points to weigh up alongside resident feedback.
The Glassworks Leicester offers several ways to approach student living, from private studios to en-suite rooms and shared apartments. I loveeeeee this place- has made my stay here so far feel very comfortable and cozy- I forget I’m living away from home. The entire team is so friendly, from the manager to the receptionists to the maintenance team and on site team, they’re always interactive hosting different events and giving out breakfast/freebies. Everyone here has great energy and make their residents feel so included and safe. Maintenance is on point with any requests too, and everyone is sweet and has everyone’s best interest. Very clean and nice accommodation, this honestly should’ve been my accommodation from 1st year!👏🏾👏🏾🥰

I arrived for the first time on Friday and was greeted with a lovely smile from Tammy! My room was clean, modern and fresh. Nonetheless, I did experience some problems working the cooker and my flat didn't have some of the essentials required. This being said, the maintenance team were quick to resolve my issue and now my flat is in working order. There were plenty of events commencing in the common room all week to help new students settle in. I would definitely recommend this student accommodation if your looking for a good time and great facilities!

Almost worthy of 5 stars for location, amenity and quality. Friendly and helpful staff overall. Building Manager particularly helpful. Great communal spaces. Good floor space in rooms, all ensuite. Some of the rooms haven't been refurbished in 9 or 10 years, so certain elements are starting to feel a little tired and in need of replacement. The one fridge in a shared flat for 4 was quite small and looking old. Flats for 5 or more have 2 fridges. We were advised that rooms are all deep cleaned before moving in, but cleaning wasn't to my standard, all surfaces were pretty grubby, although nothing that a good clean couldn't fix.

Fantastic facility! If you’re searching for comfortable and reliable student accommodation, I’d highly recommend this place. The staff are incredibly understanding and always attentive to individual needs. The on-site facilities are excellent and make the whole uni move so much easier and stress-free. Just an all round nice place to be :)
