I recently moved out of from here, and overall, it was a really good place to stay. The old reception team was super helpful, and although I didn’t have much time to get to know the new staff, things were handled well. During my stay, the lift in Block C was being replaced, which took a few months, but since then it’s been working fine. They even gave us a gift voucher for the inconvenience, which was a nice gesture. I stayed in a Premium Ensuite on the 10th floor, and I really liked it, it’s more spacious than the standard rooms, very clean, and well maintained, so it never felt cramped. The location is also a big plus, just a short walk to Lime Street Station, which was perfect as I used the train almost every day. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it for both convenience and comfort..

I had a viewing of the rooms booked and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Olivia did a wonderful tour so I would definitely recommend her. Later, I booked my room with Alex and he was an absolute star, he listened to all of my complaints, and was so accommodating. Love Grand Central :)

Grand Central has been a good place to stay especially as a first year student, being so close to the city centre and learning how to basically live on your own. I think the room has been really nice and basically my safe space, never worried about my safety here. My only concern with the accommodation is how often there is a maintenance issue around my flat as I have had to submit around 10-15 requests already, the only good side to this is that the response time is quite speedy and unless the problem is beyond the maintenance teams abilities it is normally fixed within two days.

Nice rooms with a private bathroom, friendly reception staff, and a great location in the city centre. I’m taking one star off only because of cleanliness – when I moved in, I found the room genuinely dirty (both the room itself and the kitchen). I reported it to reception, and they immediately gave me another room. I was in contact with reception several times whenever I needed help with something. I was always met with a very pleasant attitude and a friendly atmosphere. Their approach impressed me the most about this accommodation – they were always extremely helpful and incredibly kind. I’m from Slovakia, and back home reception desks are often staffed with the most cold and arrogant people. Overall, I feel that the reception team at Grand Central made a very positive impression of Unite Students in my eyes, and even of English people in general. 👍🏻

I liked the space overall, but sound travels easily between rooms, so you can hear what the other person is doing, which I didn’t like. The room lighting isn’t sufficient for studying, so I had to add extra lights myself. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the University of Liverpool, and around 25 minutes to the South Campus, so keep that in mind when choosing the location. At the beginning, I faced a few issues with the WiFi, sockets, and refrigerator, but the team did make an effort to accommodate our needs and resolve the problems.
