Choosing student accommodation is about more than finding a room close to university. It's about finding somewhere that fits naturally into your daily routine, gives you the freedom to live the way you want, and makes settling into a new city feel easier. Plato House Liverpool offers exactly that. Located on Greek Street, this student residence combines fully self-contained studio apartments with welcoming communal spaces, giving residents the privacy of independent living without missing out on the social side of university life.
Whether you're moving to Liverpool for your first year or continuing your studies, Plato House provides a comfortable home close to major universities, public transport and the city's most popular student neighbourhoods. With all-inclusive bills, modern facilities and a location that keeps everything within easy reach, it's a residence designed to support every stage of student life.
Every student approaches university differently. Some prefer a busy social environment, while others value having a quiet place where they can concentrate on coursework before stepping out to enjoy the city. Plato House has been created with that flexibility in mind.
Operated by Cloud Student Homes, the property offers exclusively studio accommodation, allowing every resident to enjoy complete independence. Each studio includes a private kitchen, bathroom and study area, making it easy to organise your own schedule without sharing facilities. For students who appreciate their own space, this style of accommodation offers a comfortable balance between privacy and convenience.
Living independently doesn't mean living in isolation, though. Plato House also provides several communal areas where residents naturally come together throughout the year. You might spend an evening watching films in the cinema room, meet friends in the common room after lectures or challenge your neighbours to a game before heading into the city. These shared spaces help create a genuine student community while allowing everyone to return to the comfort of their own apartment whenever they choose.
Its central location is another major advantage. Universities, cafés, shopping destinations and transport links are all close enough to become part of your everyday routine, reducing travel time and making it easier to enjoy everything Liverpool has to offer.
Living close to your university can transform your daily routine. Less time commuting often means more time for lectures, coursework, part-time work or simply enjoying the city with friends.

great staff, friendly and welcoming. Simon, Abbie and the maintenance Viktor are all really helpful and really welcoming. spent 3 years there, met some amazing people there and overall a great experience

This building has a severe noise problem. Some residents smoke cannabis inside, creating a very strong, pungent odour, and frequently host loud parties in the early hours of the morning. To make matters worse, management has explicitly stated they will not take any action to resolve this.
Georgi Partsalev
Excellent quality for the price, and the staff are very friendly! It's a new building, built in 2015 with fast&free Wi-Fi. The location also could not have been more perfect! Nice common room too with table tennis and a movie corner. The only complaint I have is that there are no organised house events, so unless you really make an effort, you're not likely to meet any of the other residents.
Gisélia Maranhão
I had an incredible experience at Plato House through my two years there. During all my time, Jess and Tony strongly supported me in many ways. They are a great team and do their best to provide all students with the best experience. The building presents a good location, close to the universities and a short walk to markets and convenience stores. Also, there are few restaurants around, and on the main road, there's a vast option for buses to the most diverse locations across Liverpool. I highlighted the short distance to Lime Street Station and the Centre. Extra tip: On the 5th floor, I had the most fantastic view of the city :)
