Eclipse by Prima Vidae is definitely one of the better student accommodations I have ever had the chance of visiting! It is extremely contemporary, well located near the city centre and university and is reasonably priced for what is offered. The facilities and amenities present is wonderful. A cinema room, a games room which has a pool table, foosball, PS4, photo booth. There is also a cinema room and dining room that are extremely fancy and are free for residents to book. The gym and study rooms are great too. Would definitely recommend students in Cardiff to consider eclipse as their accommodation.

Be careful with this accommodation. They took payment but did not allow guests to stay at the property. Based on my experience, I would not recommend booking it.

At first I thought it was a lovely Accomodation until I noticed the silverfish all around my room complained to maintenance and was told it’s that time of year for it and nothing was done about it. Spent the whole year with my stuff being crawled all over with silverfish. My desk chair broke complained and it wasn’t fixed. The TV didn’t work and was stuck in another language. Water from the toilet leaked under the floor and flooded my room it was fixed . But I would say but I had private accommodation for less and it was 100x better. For the price you would expect the maintenance to be kept up to date better. Oh and don’t forget the doors that if you forget your key your going to be locked out for the night and have an embarrassing trip to the front desk 😄

Living at Collegiate Eclipse in Cardiff is an amazing experience for me. From the fully furnished on-site gym and movie theatre to the private karaoke and gaming areas that are ideal for unwinding or hanging out with friends, the facilities here are exceptional and truly make student life pleasant and enjoyable.

Lived here for nearly 6 months now, definitely a place of ups and downs. Pros: Reception staff typically very friendly and helpful, if not a little hard to reach (understaffed) Maintenance have been quick and helpful whenever needed Location is okay, proximity to city centre Supermarket nearby Gym is very helpful and fairly well kept Cheap and easy enough laundry process Cons: Lots of noise every night from howard gardens, high levels of drug use both in and out of the building. Can barely open window or walk in the entrance without smelling it, nothing done to enforce this Residents tend to be very messy and generally very untidy. Rubbish bags left in corridors for days at a time, people putting their feet everywhere in common areas etc. Common areas often look like a bombsite Package collection is a little annoying at times but generally better than at previous accomodations Corridors / lift areas seem to be never cleaned or mopped etc, generally very dirty building despite what is initially sold to you. Have seen and heard about multiple infestations including silverfish, likely as a result of all the previously mentioned factors Predatory pricing - you are actively punished financially for booking early, with super cheap rooms offered late. No compensation for those who booked early Overall, not a bad accomodation. But for the price you pay, I would expect a lot more. I think it is very understaffed, and nearly all the staff there do the best they can
