Choosing student accommodation can have a noticeable effect on your daily university routine. Being close to campus, having somewhere suitable to study and knowing that basic household costs are already covered can make things easier once term begins. The Bakery Cardiff is located close to Cardiff city centre, with universities, transport links, shops and places to eat within reach.
The residence has spacious en-suite rooms as well as self-contained studios, giving students different ways to approach their living arrangements. Utility bills and Wi-Fi are included, while study rooms, a common room, games room and cinema room provide spaces for work and downtime.
University accommodation needs to work around different routines. Some students spend most of their time on campus, while others prefer studying at home and using shared spaces when they want a break. The Bakery student accommodation provides facilities for both sides of that routine.
The en-suite rooms give students their own bedroom and bathroom while retaining the social aspect of shared accommodation. Students who prefer to have everything to themselves can choose a studio with a private kitchen and bathroom.
There are several shared spaces within the property. Study rooms provide somewhere to work on assignments or revise for exams, while the common room gives residents a place to sit and spend time with other students. The games room and cinema room offer alternatives when it's time to take a break from coursework.
The building also has practical facilities for everyday needs. On-site laundry, bike storage, recycling facilities and vending machines mean that residents can handle several routine tasks without having to go elsewhere.
The Bakery is situated on Pendyris Street, close to Cardiff city centre. Its location puts students within reach of the city's universities, shopping areas, transport connections and places to eat.

PureGym Cardiff City Centre gives students a nearby option for maintaining a regular exercise routine. Cardiff Central Library provides another place to study away from the accommodation, and University Hospital of Wales is accessible for healthcare needs.

I love living in the bakery, the staff are amazing. Its also a very safe accom, there is always someone in reception, the rooms are amazing, super soundproof walls, kitchen is spacious, a great location so good for popping to town or a night out, rooms are very modern, great amount of plugs. There is a 30 minute bus journey to cyncoed campus, bus top is 10 min walk away.

I stayed here from 2021-2022. Rooms are quite spacious and the bathrooms are of good size as well. Kitchens too are large enough for 5 people. The staff are very helpful and will do everything to make your life easy. All of our maintenance issues were solved within a day. Heating works well and so does the WiFi. There are few issues though, there is no place for socialising, the common room near the reception can't even hold 10 people. Secondly, the laundry is quite expensive, you will be charged separately for washing and drying. Note: Only Block A has elevator while block B, C, D, E does not.
