WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! I’ve had so many horrible experiences with this company and i would not recommend to anyone searching for student accommodation. Firstly, we were told that the house we were staying in had mould growing inside due to dampness and they were planning on fixing it, however throughout the entire year of living there ( with multiple emails regarding damp), it was never cleaned or sorted out. Thus, it caused stains in some bedrooms and around the house. To the point that one tenant had to pay damages even though it wasn’t their fault. Secondly, all the provided appliances were constantly breaking down. One example was our washing machine, clothes were stuck inside and maintenance was notified. However, it took around a week for someone to come over and fix it, meaning we could not have clean clothes for over a week! There were also more issues regarding appliances but due to being ignored by the company for a while, we decided to give it a miss as they would not have cared anyway! Thirdly, upon moving out, this company managed to completely ignore any queries and issues we had about receiving our deposits back. Meaning we had to wait over two weeks to hear back from this company whilst knowing they responded to another house on the same day as departure. Fourthly, my flatmates had an awful experience regarding payment schedules. They were told they could pay monthly on a certain property, this was accepted and all was well. However, on the second year, they were denied this and were told they had to pay semesterly, which did not work as they received the minimum student payment and could not afford it, hence the monthly payments to split the entirety of full cost. It took weeks to get through and by the time they did, the landlord of this property refused to contact them to settle an agreement and was acting like a child about the whole situation. I would also like to add that during our time with student housing, we never received anything on time regarding any check out or in reports and that everything seemed to be delayed. This made us quite concerned as we felt like they were sweeping us under the carpet almost like a problem to deal with when we had concerns. We also had numerous issues with “maintenance” or “contractors” walking into our house without knocking or giving us time to open the door. This was incredibly invasive and disrespectful to our privacy. Lastly, when receiving back our deposits, majority of deductions from our deposits were false and was no one’s fault due to either wear and tear, or previous tenants actions that came out of our deposit. Be prepared to pay £300 for a deposit to only get £50 when leaving. They kept telling us it was the “landlords” responsibility but for one house, after a quick google search, we found it was the company themselves’ property. One thing that stood out to me is that one of my housemates, when moving into the property, found used contact lenses buried into the carpet of her room from a previous tenant. Yet, when moving out and receiving our checkout report, student housing demanded around £50 for a deep clean of the carpet because it was apparently dirty? This is unacceptable, especially because of what was found when moving into the property, the money taken from our deposit was not going to be used for a “deep clean” and was just taken regardless as they did not seem to bother in the past. I would not return, nor recommend this company at all! We hardly ever received any compensation for their mistakes and had to deal with majority of problems ourselves.

The worst property letting agents I've ever had the misery of dealing with. During our tenancy, we had countless unannounced instructions from Student Housing staff, including multiple instances of staff entering while my partner or I were in the shower or asleep. The staff who attended the flat were often rude and condescending, treating us like children despite both of us being in our mid-20s. No clean or refresh was done to the apartment before we moved in as was made obvious by rubbish left by the previous tenants left all over the property - no repaints or redecorations were provided either. We had a bed with multiple boards broken under the mattress, damp covered walls in one of the bedrooms and a bath that was installed too far away from the wall so would also gather mold without weekly intensive cleaning. After all this, they had the audacity to demand we pay for repainting and redecorating (which the Deposit Protection Scheme very willingly sided with us on). Overall, Student Housing Lincoln relies on you not having the knowledge to protect yourself legally when it comes to property. They would have taken every penny they could have from our deposit if we hadn't fought for it. Absolutely disgusting company. The staff are absolutely clueless and have no respect for the privacy of their tenants.

Very poor service Reception is never there for parcels( really bad service) you can never find any one Fire alarm is constantly going off at ungodly hours of the day (3am) Poor organisation Save your self and look for somewhere better I would never have booked this place if I truly knew what it was like Lifts is always dirty The bin area is also always packed with rubbish on the floor is honestly one of the worst places to live as a student The areas is also dodgy UBR10 specifically for all these faults I also remember that they gave me wrong room on moving day I had to stick with cause apparently someone else was in my original room by ‘mistake’ Honestly awful place

Wonderful company when it comes to house searching, we've been talking with Abby who is an absolute gem, very smiley and knowledgable - eager to help with whatever we need!!

Abby, our agent, was absolutely wonderful! She was able to put a rush on our house search due to our situation and really listened to us. She only showed us houses that she knew would be suitable for us based on the problems we've had with our previous landlords. Any and all questions we asked were responded to with as much detail as she could provide, and we left all the viewings feeling confident that we would be taken care of. Thank you Abby ☺️
