About this property
The place you stay can shape your university routine more than you might expect. A shorter walk to campus, reliable facilities, and a comfortable room all make everyday life easier. Salisbury Court Edinburgh offers exactly that. Located on St Leonards Street, this property gives you quick access to the University of Edinburgh, local cafés, supermarkets and some of the city's best-known landmarks.
If you're looking into Salisbury Court student accommodation, you'll find a mix of en-suite rooms, studios and shared flats, making it suitable for different budgets and preferences. Whether you're beginning your first semester or returning for another year, the accommodation offers a practical setup with enough shared spaces to meet people while still having your own place to study and relax.
University life quickly settles into a routine of lectures, assignments, grocery shopping and meeting friends. Your accommodation becomes the place where all of that begins and ends each day, so comfort matters.
Salisbury Court has been planned around the way students actually spend their time. If you enjoy having your own kitchen and complete privacy, the studio rooms are worth considering. If you'd rather share a flat and split everyday moments with flatmates, the en-suite options work well without giving up your own bathroom.
The communal areas are equally useful. Quiet study spaces come in handy during exam season, while the common room and cinema area are popular when everyone wants a break from coursework. Secure entry, on-site support and maintenance also mean you don't have to worry about dealing with household issues yourself.
Among the different halls in Edinburgh, this property continues to appeal to both UK and international students because it keeps everyday life simple without feeling overcrowded.

Overall a great accommodation to stay at. The best aspects were the level of safety (24 hour reception, multiple card swipe areas), as well as the community feel since it’s student accommodation. The rooms were affordable and walking distance from old town. I also appreciated the lounge area with couches, pool table, projector screen etc. The shared kitchens were also full of essential appliances and great views. I think the rooms were tidy and comfortable overall, but I do acknowledge the beds and bathrooms/shower might be small for more than one person. I also think maybe some extra signs could be placed to help guide customers in and out of the main lounge area as it can be a bit confusing with all of the fire exits. And lastly, the biggest downside in my opinion was the paper thin walls which can make it tricky to get to sleep.

We stayed here for 4 nights during the Fringe, having had a pretty disastrous experience last year staying in someone's spare room. Location is decent, about 15 mins walk to Pleasure Courtyard and 30 mins to Monkey Barrel. All in all it was fine, and as we expected. Less polished than photos but a decent base. Pros: Very accessible - easy to find, 24 hour entrance and exit and we found free parking nearby. Very clean and spacious outside of the actual room. Having access to a kitchen was nice, and made the Fringe a big cheaper. Decently priced (just over £100 a night). Foyer and shared spaces were nice, it had a library and game areas. Nice views over the other buildings! Cons: Room itself is tiny, my husband is 6ft tall and his feet hung out the end of the bed. The beds are small doubles, which is made clearer before check in than at booking. The mattresses are a bag of springs and on wooden bases. Because they are mini flats, there could be 10 couples sharing a kitchen. Everything is audible through the walls, and one morning someone stood in the corridor and yelled for half an hour. They may as well have been in our room. The doors bang loudly.

Salisbury Court is decent for a great price. Stayed 5 days for the Fringe and his modern place is perfect, location wise to city centre and many options of restaurants and cafe as you walk toward the city centre. Feeling safe in the area. The room and hall way and kitchen were clean. Clean towels were provided, but only had 2 pillows for us as a couple and did ask for more. Staff at reception works 24/7 and are very accomodating. Note: Its a student accomodation, therefore no TVs in the room. Just bed, cupboard, study table, shower, toilet and power outlets. I love the view from our room and would wake up with such relaxing view. Just only downside, shower in Bldg 3 Floor 3 in room A - it was flooding so had to shower with the lowest pressure. Else I highly recommend this Salisbury Court.

Nice place / staff. Close to Edinburgh's old town (either by bus or walking). We've booked an apartment (7 nights) and don't regret it. There's no daily cleaning / fresh towels (they do it once a week, but you have everything you need to do it yourself). Minor remark though: the bed was a little bit uncomfortable.

Absolutely disgusting - checked in to find a dirty room, told staff only to return 9 hours later to find the room still dirty! Nothing says welcome home quite like an unmade bed with dirty used bedlinen, dirty towels, soap used up and a full waste bin. Phoned reception before it closed and found one set of towels (for a double room), two stained sheets and two pillowcases, but no duvet cover. Needless to say I won’t return - a total joke for the prices charged.
