Whether you are a future tech mogul at the University of Edinburgh or a creative powerhouse at the Edinburgh College of Art, this property serves as your premium retreat. This is for the student who wants to enter their CEO era before they even graduate, merging the historic charm of a UNESCO World Heritage city with a level of luxury that makes every other accommodation look like a total flop. It’s really a good place to live in. Beautiful garden, nice staffs and good-quality equipment. All of these truly make my year in Edinburgh convenient and enjoyable. Thanks for the good service provided by the friendly and responsible staffs at New Park in my year at Edinburgh. Wish all of us a bright future

I had a great experience at New Park. The bed is big unlike most accommodations that come with very small bed. And that’s so crucial if you have to stay like a whole year. The place is situated a little bit inside the community area. It’s not directly at the main road which makes it more peaceful. No loud noise from the main road. I like it very much. The room is relatively new ✨The staffs here are lovely! I had stayed in many student accommodations in Edinburgh. This is by far the best! In terms of comfort, convenience, weighting everything together in the whole picture. From my experience staying in various student accommodation others than New Park, I’ve learnt that sometimes if my place is very near City Centre it could feel busy to just get around or doing grocery, it could be very crowd in the street. New Park offer a quite peaceful community area with groceries nearby and it’s not hard to go to the uni by bus from here, therefore it suits me more. 👍

Both en-suite and studios are good facilities. There are social funny events organised by stuff. Quiet nice area In general (except for a few arrogant students who don’t understand that people should not slam the doors and keep the volume down at nights). Particularly suit students study on Holyrood Campus. Walkable distance. Convenient buses around.

Do not get based on stock photos! This place is a room, a bed, and a shower. Lucky enough to have two towels and bar of soap. No parking on site so you might find a spot 100ft away or 2 miles away. If you book in a hurry you might feel deceived, especially if looking for a "hotel" like atmosphere. It's a dorm, expect a dorm like going to college for the first semester. An empty shell of a room. Bring a family photo to remind you of home. At least i have a roof over my head.

As a student in en-suite room. Pros: - Site cleaned regularly - Staff are super friendly and helpful - Security/night staff until 3am - Comfortable, low-light common room - Easy parcel delivery system - Regular social events and occasional freebies (energy drinks, etc.) - Spacious shared kitchen area with 2 ovens - Room clean and fresh on entry - Devoted waste area/bin shed - Indoor bike lock-up - Local amenities (shops, dentist, barbers, post office) nearby - Very good bus route access (regular service from 35 and 1 on Easter Road, and more via Leith/London Road) Cons: - No sheltered area for smokers which becomes problematic in colder/wetter/windier weather as location is a wind trap - Outdoor seating area in car park (shown in pictures) becomes heavily waterlogged in rainfall - Low water pressure, showers dribble water - 3/4 double bed not quite big enough length-wise if resident over 6ft (feet poke out bottom of bed at ankles) - No extractor fan in bathroom, just an open vent which has a low rumble noise (wind blowing through ventilation system maybe?) - Laundry room utilises Circuit machines (infamously expensive) and only 4 machines for the entire 3-block site so usage is best after midnight - Lack of fridge/freezer space for shared flats (6 rooms share) - Mid/upper-bracket pricing compared to other sites, but this can be offset by the inclusive energy/heating bills which is handy in a cold city - Terrible response time from Glide Wi-Fi service at first (6+ months to identify why I was getting such a low bandwidth, did not get resolved before my patience ran out) - Not an issue for myself personally, but it is very near a local stadium so crowds and noise levels nearby can increase dramatically on match days Overall: 7/10
