Under no circumstances do I recommend staying in Skyline. I chose Skyline due to them recently changing to Now Students, believing private accommodation was a better option compared to university owned accommodation. After I have moved in about a week to two weeks afterwards, one of the lifts broke. Although one was working (compliant with building regulations) it meant you could be waiting for several minutes for one lift, despite the reception desk claiming it would be fixed quickly it remained to be unfixed until Christmas break, where during that period it was working again. However, it is important to note that shortly after everyone had come back from the break it consequently was broken again. Although not a major issue this building is expensive and if you pay for two lifts you should get two lifts, understandably issues can occur, but it shouldn’t take over 4 months to fix it with lack of communication about why. Furthermore, their twin building Oxford Point seemingly always getting their lifts fixed days after breaking down. I was originally on a middle level floor, however I was moved after power issues where it was unsafe to return to my original floor. During this entire period power in the building was temporary. They did use emails to communicate but they were often vague and gave no answers especially when I didn’t have a stable flat as we were told to only return to our original flats during daylight hours this was such a stressful time, those on the reception desk being under stress due to being under fire from everyone living there, however their lack of empathy on the situation being infuriating, leaving you feeling almost unjustified for being angry. After this was resolved, most of the building in its entirety became a building site. The builders had contracted “noisy” hours in-between 9-5 we were emailed to confirm this which was appreciated for the communication. But often I can hear hammering past 7-8pm which although isn’t a major issue it highlights back on their lack of empathy. The use of only one lift as well now means that you will be waiting longer, for it to then be filled with builders with pump trucks. Most of them are very nice, however some are immature, pressing all the buttons on the lift. Infuriating when you have waited for ages for the lift to then be stopping on every single floor. Their manner on site being questionable when regarding the fact they are working in student accommodation whereby we have paid a lot to live in this building, the price not reflecting the experience. Especially when the price will be rising due to the new and improved rooms (not yet confirmed), however very clearly the money should be used to make the entire building better, not just some few rooms. This entire year so far has been such a negative experience in this building, I am in my first year of university and it has caused huge issues as well as negatively affecting my mental health, the only reason it has been minorly okay due to my flatmates. I genuinely advise for anyone to avoid this building.

The building is great, but I Don’t CARE! I stayed at skyline 5 months, everything was great till the elevator has been broken, this is not everything They started a construction work inside the building with only one elevator and if you have a morning class u should’ve be in front of the elevator 30mins before your scheduled to wait ur turn after the workers finished moving some stuff! That’s insane!!! They can do some construction work to rent new flats and make some extra money but the can’t fix the elevator problem!! And during my staying there was some weeks that the two elevators were broken and everyone had to use the stairs!!!! Even if you were living in the 15floor, they just don’t care! They have to understand that even if the building was marvellous that doesn’t mean to forget the elevator problem!!!!

I had a really easy-going booking experience with the staff of skyline especially with Dan. He was responsive to any enquiries my friends and I had and kindly put us together in the same flat despite the rooms being booked fast.

Lived here for a short while in Summer 2025. Rooms and facilities were very nice although coild get way too hot in the summer. The study areas and rooftop definitely stood out. Staff were always very friendly and helpful, day or night. Would definitely recommend
