About this property

The Hub

The Hub London Student Accommodation

Choosing student accommodation in London usually comes down to a few practical questions. How long will the commute take? Will the room give you enough privacy? And how easy will it be to manage everyday expenses once you move in?

The Hub London is based on South Lambeth Road in Vauxhall, putting students close to Underground and rail connections as well as shops, cafés and other everyday facilities. The residence consists of private studios, so students have their own kitchen, bathroom and study area rather than sharing these spaces with flatmates.

The property also has shared areas within the building, giving residents somewhere to study, relax or meet other students. For students comparing different parts of the capital, its Vauxhall location also makes it easier to reach other London neighbourhoods and accommodation locations such as The Hub Covent Garden, The Hub Westminster, The Hub Shoreditch, The Hub Brick Lane and The Hub Tower Bridge.

About The Hub

Students have different ideas about what makes good accommodation. Some are happy sharing a kitchen and living room, while others would rather have their own space from the moment they move in. The Hub London caters to the latter, with self-contained studios that keep the main parts of everyday living within one room.

Each studio comes with its own kitchen, bathroom and study area. This gives residents more control over their routine, whether they are preparing dinner after a late lecture, working on an assignment or simply taking some time to themselves.

There are shared facilities elsewhere in the building as well. Residents can use the lounge and games room, while regular events offer opportunities to meet people living at the property. Study rooms provide another option for coursework when working in your studio is not quite what you need.

The location adds another practical advantage. Vauxhall has strong transport links into central London, so students can travel to university, work placements and other parts of the city without relying on long daily journeys. This also makes areas associated with The Hub Kings Cross, The Hub London Kings Cross and The Hub Westminster accessible from the residence.

The Hub Address & Location

Address: The Hub, 21–25 South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall, London SW8 1SU, United Kingdom

The Hub London sits in Vauxhall, an area with several transport options within a short distance of the property. Vauxhall Underground Station and Vauxhall Rail Station are nearby, while Nine Elms Underground Station provides another route for getting around London.

The location works well for everyday errands too. Sainsbury's at Nine Elms is close by for groceries, while Nine Elms Square has shops and other services. Students can also reach restaurants and cafés without having to travel into central London every time they want to meet friends or grab something to eat.

Vauxhall Park provides some open space close to the accommodation, which can be useful when you want a break from lectures and coursework. Students who prefer working outside their room can also make use of nearby library facilities around Lambeth Palace.

Life at The Hub London

Living at The Hub means having several parts of your weekly routine within easy reach. Vauxhall's transport connections make it possible to travel across London for lectures, work or social plans, while local shops and restaurants cover many of the things you'll need closer to home.

For groceries, Sainsbury's at Nine Elms is a nearby option for regular shopping. Nine Elms Square adds more choice for shopping and everyday errands. Students can also head towards central London when they want a larger selection of shops or entertainment.

Food options around Vauxhall include Casa Madeira and Waterfront London Vauxhall. These give residents somewhere to eat without making a separate trip across the city. The Griffin Belle is another nearby option for students meeting friends in the evening.

Keeping active is also straightforward. The Gym Group London Vauxhall is close to the property, while Vauxhall Park offers an alternative for walking or spending some time outdoors.

For students who prefer studying away from their accommodation, nearby library facilities around Lambeth Palace provide another setting for reading and coursework. With the Underground, rail network and bus services all close by, travelling beyond Vauxhall is also relatively straightforward.

Why Choose The Hub London?

The Hub London is particularly suited to students who want their own private accommodation rather than sharing essential facilities with flatmates. Every studio has its own kitchen, bathroom and study area, while the building still has shared spaces for socialising and studying.

Some of the main reasons to consider The Hub include:

  • Private, fully self-contained studio accommodation.

  • Private kitchen and bathroom in every studio.

  • Furnished rooms with dedicated study areas.

  • Electricity, gas, heating, water and Wi-Fi included in the rent.

  • Dedicated study rooms.

  • Lounge and games room.

  • Regular resident events.

  • On-site laundry facilities.

  • Secure bike storage.

  • CCTV, secure door entry and on-site security.

  • 24-hour security.

  • Wheelchair-accessible facilities.

  • Vauxhall Underground and rail connections nearby.

  • Easy access to other parts of London, including areas around The Hub Covent Garden, The Hub Westminster, The Hub Shoreditch, The Hub Brick Lane and The Hub Tower Bridge.

For students who value privacy but still want access to shared spaces, this setup offers a middle ground. You can keep your everyday living arrangements private while still having places within the building where you can work or spend time with other residents.

What's Included at The Hub London?

Moving into student accommodation is easier when the main household costs are already accounted for. At The Hub London, several essential services are included within the weekly rent, so students have fewer separate payments to keep track of during the academic year.

Your rent covers:

  • High-speed Wi-Fi

  • Electricity

  • Gas

The Hub London offers private studios, so students looking for independent accommodation have several room categories to consider. Availability can change during the Clearing period, especially as more students confirm their university places.

Is The Hub London Right for You?

The Hub London is worth considering if private studio living is high on your list. Each studio has its own kitchen, bathroom and study area, so you won't need to share these everyday facilities with other residents.

The property also works for students who want some social interaction without giving up their independence. The lounge, games room and resident events provide shared spaces and opportunities to meet others, while the private studio remains your own space.

The included bills can also make budgeting easier. Electricity, gas, heating, water and Wi-Fi are covered within the rent, leaving fewer household payments to manage separately.

The location is another reason to consider the property. Vauxhall Underground and rail stations are nearby, with Nine Elms Underground Station and local bus services adding further travel options. Students can therefore reach universities and other parts of London without having to depend on a single transport route.

If you're comparing The Hub London with other student residences, the main question is whether private studio living suits your budget and routine. If it does, the combination of self-contained rooms, shared facilities and strong transport connections makes this property a sensible option.

The location also gives residents access to different parts of the capital, including areas associated with The Hub Covent Garden, The Hub Westminster, The Hub Shoreditch, The Hub Brick Lane, The Hub Tower Bridge and The Hub London Kings Cross. These are separate locations, but the transport network around Vauxhall makes travelling across London relatively straightforward.

Here is an unbiased opinion: This is my third year living in London, and I’ve chosen to stay at Host The Hub for all three years. It has a great location and a warm, welcoming community. The staff are exceptional. Dave, the manager, has been incredibly supportive and helpful. He always takes the time to chat with us and is available even when busy. As students, we genuinely feel that we are his top priority. The rooms are spacious, and the shared areas are easily accessible. The common room is especially nice (a comfortable place to relax while waiting for your laundry)! Would I recommend living here? Absolutely. Opportunities like this, with such a convenient location and supportive staff, are truly rare these days.

Location is good too (the tube and rail station and bus stop are less than a minute walk away) , lots of good facilities nearby. Maintenance and 24/7security are great too!!
