The Croft, derby

I had a really positive experience staying here during my time as a student. The location is convenient for getting to uni and nearby shops, and the building feels safe and well maintained. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and have enough space to study and relax, while the shared areas are great for socialising and meeting new people. The staff are friendly and really helpful, and any issues I had were handled in a reasonable time. Like most student accommodation, noise can vary depending on flatmates, but overall it’s a good balance between a social and comfortable place to live. I’d definitely recommend it to students looking for a reliable and well located place to stay.

Every single night i am woken up by people screaming and shouting in the courtyard, or chatting loudly by the gate, even with my window closed and living on a high floor. it is ridiculous There is no security or staff on site after 5pm or weekends. if you lock yourself out it is 60 quid! washing machines and tumbledryers are super expensive. onsite gym is a joke. Room walls are paper thin and kitchens need an upgrade. my flatmates are clean and tidy but our oven, microwave and toaster are gross and seem to be prehistoric. Reception often closes early so you cant get packages if you have late lectures/work. Currently cant use the common room because some idiots decided to have a water fight so now we are all being punished. I would recommend choosing official derby uni halls as they have cleaners who clean the kitchen once a week, onsite staff at all times so noise complaints are dealt with swiftly and repeat offenders are penalised, if you lock yourself out the RAs will let you in within 5 minutes FOR FREE. the croft is honestly a bit of a joke.

The Croft is a great place to live. The rooms are comfortable and the kitchens are well equipped. The staff at Croft are also all extremely helpful. The locations is also convenient with supermarkets being just a short walk away. Would definitely recommend The Croft to all new students.

The Croft is a very spacious and clean place to live. The rooms are a great size and the kitchen is big and has lots of storage. The staff are very helpful and approachable and any issues are attended to quickly. I would definitely recommend staying here :)

Overall a very positive stay with this accommodation so far. Location is very convenient being a close walk into town. Room is a reasonable size, overall comfortable place to live in. Staff are very approachable and very helpful
