Bonington Student Village, loughborough

Very hard to find as there was no information available. I stayed 2 nights, rooms were decent but it was an adventure. Management should have clear information for visitors and guest on how to access the services.

The campus is nice. The surroundings are beautiful. The halls are secure with entry locks on both the outer and inner doors of all blocks. The rooms are very basic and cheaply fitted out for the cost of them. A few small changes to decor and fittings could make the rooms feel cosier and more homely with a more expensive feel without having to spend a lot of money. If cheap hotel chains can do it, then universities should be able to do it when these young adults are paying more per week than most people's monthly rent.

I have my accomodation in this campus and I am really loving it. It's very beautiful and calm, close to nature you can see Rabbits in the vicinity there is a social area where you can have drinks and play pool as well. It's a great place to live and enjoy the natural beauty of countryside.

I moved into CLV accommodations in September 2019, and i have not wanted to leave this place ever since. It is honestly one of the most beautiful places I have ever lived. The accommodation is surrounded by nature, and is ever so pleasant. The buildings are secure, therefore you never feel unsafe, it even has onsite parking which makes life so much easier. You will wake up in the morning and hear the birds singing, should you want to walk around you will see the horses, cows and even sheep on the university grounds. The CLV staff are such lovely people who are always willing to assist. They are so friendly and approachable, especially the site manager Jodie who is genuinely an amazing person and will always go the extra mile for you.. She has recently had the accommodation blocks renovated which look ever so welcoming it feels very homely with the contrasting wall colors, it was definitely a great decision. Despite being busy the CLV staff are, they will always make time for students, and are keen to assist should you have any concerns. I would highly comment this place I absolutely love it.

Lived here for 2 years during uni. Was a difficult experience because: - Staff: were a bit mean, rude just because you wanted to pick up a parcel from them. The parcel system is dysfunctional as they MUST leave you a slip in your mailbox THEN you may go pick up the parcel. Not sure why there is no online system or emailing system set up this can be more convenient for staff handing out slips too. - the wifi is bad in the rooms, especially during evenings (not sure why) - I understand that the bus to the university park is free, but not frequent enough especially on weekends (1.5 to 2hrs between buses). Also buses no longer go to the city center, so you have to change to tram either at university park or at clifton south park and ride (45+ minutes) - Gave 2 stars as the quality of the room was OK, kitchen was quite spacious and had good storage areas (although quite old countertop and drawers) - if students are paying a minimum 130pounds per week, i would expect a better parcel system, as well as better wifi (especially if you want to do research or essays but don't have wifi). Hope this helps anyone considering living here.
