I had no heating or hot water throughout winter. Even if they reply to this saying something about maintenance, i reported it many times… sometimes they’d even respond to me saying that i do have hot water as if im incapable of knowing the temperature of water… The hot water would go off every day after they ‘fixed’ it. I had no hot water for 2 months. I did report this, they told me to use a different flat to shower in… but i paid for this room so i expect this room to have hot water no? They did not compensate me at all. You can literally access any block as the doors always break, you can even enter ppls flats with different key cards. just don’t stay here at all

This accommodation consistently has no hot water, not in the kitchen, nor in the bathroom. This is really frustrating especially since they just charged 2600 for rent, with little to no flexibility on payment dates. Anytime someone jumps on the floor above me, my shower starts leaking. The heater turns off every 10 mins, and you have to get up to put it on again, which you eventually get tired of. Other blocks have broken doors which are left unfixed, allowing anyone into living areas without a key card. Only nice thing is that you get free food sometimes. Not a nice experience, will not be coming back here.

St Peter’s court is really beautiful and has a lovely common room! The rooms are a wonderful size and there are no wet rooms. Reception staff is very nice and are always happy to help out. Louis has always been really helpful and so has Courtney, always lovely to chat to them!

Must read One of the best accommodations if you would like a cold winter during your exams. During my four-month stay, the heating and hot water failed six times, so there were many days when staying warm or having a shower simply wasn’t possible. Multiple rats were seen on the site, which was extremely concerning from a hygiene point of view. There was also loud traffic throughout the night, like me, your room faces the main road. The Wi-Fi has been unavailable for about a week and a half, making studying and daily life quite challenging. The leak on the bottom floor has now been repaired, but the area is still mouldy. There were also serious security concerns, as the doors were sometimes broken, meaning people could access the flats without using a key card. (Consider that Radford is one of the areas with the highest crime rates in Nottingham) Another change this year was the shuttle bus service: it used to run every hour and more in peak hours, but it has now been reduced to only six buses a day (four in the early morning and two in the evening). Based on this trend, I genuinely worry that the service may disappear completely next year. All of these issues were reported, but they continued throughout my stay. Overall, living here felt more like enduring conditions than having a home. Good luck to you all if you have decided to stay here. Update Most of the issues mentioned above have now been addressed, and I appreciate the efforts made by the staff in responding to the review and improving conditions. However, the hot water problem has unfortunately reappeared in the past few days. Although it had been stable for around three months, this raises concern that the issue may become recurring again. There is also a serious concern regarding rubbish accumulating outside St Peter’s Court on St Peter’s Street, near the shuttle bus stop. This area is directly next to a fire exit, and waste is being left on the street, which may be due to some residents disposing of rubbish irresponsibly (possibly throwing it out of windows or smoking and drinking in that area). This not only creates hygiene issues but also poses a potential safety hazard, particularly as it could obstruct or compromise access to the fire exit.

Positives -Gigabit Wired Internet: Offers both download and upload speeds of 1gb/s. -Wi-Fi: Speeds around 300 mb/s - the internet was flawless, with only one outage. Overall, it was very reliable and impressive. - Ensuite: The bathroom is slightly small and dated, with some signs of mould on the ceiling. However, the water temperature and pressure were satisfactory. - Friendly Staff: All interactions, whether with reception or maintenance staff, were positive. They were always eager to assist. - Parcel Collection: Parcels can be dropped off at the reception for collection. Negatives - Heating: The heating system is manually controlled and only turns on for a short period when you press the button. This makes it chilly at night as the heating doesn't automatically come on. Maintenance suggested buying an electric heater, but there's also an option to remove the radiator pin for constant heating. - Room Discrepancy: The advertised room was vastly different from the actual room. All the photos I saw were of what I later found out to be the "new block," which had a big open desk in front of the window. The "old block" has "bigger rooms," but the desk is long and narrow, and there’s a shelf above the desk. This arrangement is awkward when you have a desktop PC with two monitors because there are drawers on one side. - Thin Walls and Doors: The walls and doors are paper-thin, so you can hear others almost clearly in the corridor and even people in adjacent rooms.
