Morriss House is a 700 bedroom property opening on Derby Road in the heart of the student community in Lenton.

Named after a founder of the world-famous Raleigh bicycle company, this property is right on the banks of the River Leen and adjacent to the University of Nottingham Jubilee Campus. That means it's less than 10 minutes from your front door to the facilities here.

Each room here comes with your own en-suite bathroom with a shared kitchen, but if you prefer your own space there are some studio rooms with your own kitchen, too. The communal spaces here are designed to help you meet friends, socialise, and study. There's games room with consoles, karaoke and pool tables, study rooms for individual and group work, plus plenty of seating to relax and hang out on.

Head out and it's a quick 15-minute bus ride to Nottingham city center, with loads of bars, pubs, restaurants and shops to choose from. Or stay in the Lenton area and visit the local cinema, nearby restaurants or pubs.

An item in the flat has stopped working. Will I be charged for it?

If an item in your flat has stopped working, please raise a maintenance request in the Unite Students App before you check-out. If we are aware of items that need repairing in advance, and there has been no malicious damage, you won't be charged.

Can I sublet my room to someone else?

No, subletting your room is not allowed. If you do wish to leave your contract early you will need to find a replacement tenant, and provide us with their details so that we can release you from your contract and create a new tenancy agreement for them.

Is a TV included in my room?

There are TVs in many of the communal areas, and some bedrooms include TVs too - you can check what's available at your property on your property page or in your welcome guide. You'll be sent a link to your welcome guide before you arrive. You will need a TV licence for your bedroom if you are watching TV live or on-demand, and if you have a TV licence for your bedroom this automatically covers the communal kitchen too. If you just want to watch TV in the communal kitchen, then you and your flatmates can arrange a single TV licence together. Students living in a studio will also need to arrange their own TV licence if you plan to watch TV live or on-demand.
