The Gates at Valdosta Apartments, valdosta-ga

The apartments are run down and work orders get ignored. Management is either sneaky or incompetent and will overcharge rent. Zero communication and they often close early without any heads up. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Would rate Zero if I could. EXTREMELY predatory to college students. Stuff is never fixed, I had a window that was shattered from the outside that was not fixed (after my many complaints) until I moved out. Overpriced and they do NOT care about you, they care more about trying to get you out to push more people into the rooms. Lost a money order of mine of 610 for an entire year and was trying to charge me for it on my account until I had to get their manager involved. Entire apartments are just without mailbox keys, to where they just make excuses to why they haven't printed any. People let their dogs shit everywhere and they do not clean them up. Maintenance barely does anything other than invade your privacy. They rush you with your rent although things are never up to date or fixed, the main leasing manager is a cheap who puts the cheapest units into areas for four people to use (washer, dryer, fridge). You complain and they retaliate. DO NOT LIVE HERE!

Report to management the room don’t have smoke detectors and that others occupants spend all day long smoking. Nothing has been done about it. Not even one star, fake photos in their ads. Double check before or look something else.

If i could give them zero stars I would. Please do not move here they are very unorganized and tell a lot of lies since I moved in it’s been nothing but complaints the carpet was very dirty and flea infested when I first moved it no one very came to clean the carpet. I had to hire a professional out of pocket to clean the carpet and carpet still had a smell to it like it’s been needed to be replaced years ago. I would pay rent early and still get a late charge and they always would make excuses to not have to remove it. I was paying me and my roommate utility bill without knowing and I had to be the one to bring it to their attention. They tell a lot of lies and go back on their word. It was 12 months of hell i highly recommend to NOT MOVE THEIR i recently moved out and they are still trying to charge me utilities and I no longer even live there and they keep telling lies if you do move their please keep receipt and make note of everything because they will try to scam you out of so much money. I am also taking my complaints to the department of housing and urban development. OVER IT.

It's great here at The Gates Apartments! My apartment was clean with no bugs, maintenance came within 2 weeks of leasing to make sure everything was okay security-wise! A/C gets very cold when on low setting(Nice for HOTT summers). Pool is relaxing and not a loud area!
