I came to the area for work. I will acknowledge that they were able to get me a room very fast and with short notice. However, this just could be due to the fact its not their busy season. My stay started off okay however, I ended up changing my mind about housekeeping coming into my room due to having my possessions stored in the room without a safe available. So I went down to the desk the next morning after check in and changed to have no housekeeping. However, towards the end of my stay housekeeping came into my room when I was at work. They left a note on the desk in the room saying they restocked but didn't make the bed due to some of my items being on the bed. However, they didn't restock like the note said other than towels.Whoever came into my room moved my laptop and took some of my snacks (opening and unopened bag) and took some of my drinks from the fridge... I wish this was the only problem however the breakfast was also an issue on days a certain lady was working the breakfast service. She was always very rude to people getting breakfast and said breakfast wasn't avaliable yet on a weekday however it was past 0630 am and got an attitude with people when they mentioned the time that we were all told breakfast service would be. Even making comments about how people needed to take less breakfast items when they had literally just grabbed breakfast nothing excessive. I wish this experience had been better especially when we all pay good money and to have things touched and taken and to be spoken to in rude and condescending ways doesn't make the stay enjoyable and doesn't make you feel safe or comfortable in your stay.

Review for Residence Inn by Marriott Morgantown I stayed here for three weeks on a business trip, and my experience was mixed. Housekeeping standards were unacceptable. My initial room had visibly soiled bedding (mattress cover and duvet), which led to my skin breaking out in hives. As an Environmental Services Manager, I recognize this as a serious cross-contamination issue. Cleaning appeared minimal—limited to trash removal—with key tasks like vacuuming, high dusting, and proper sanitization overlooked. For the price paid, this level of cleanliness is not acceptable. The mattress, pillows, and kitchen appliances also need improvement. That said, the staff made a difference. Alicia from management was exceptional—she changed my room, ensured cleanliness, and even personally fixed my TV after it hadn’t worked for a full week. She wears many hats and handles them with excellence. I can absolutely see her becoming a General Manager one day. Front desk team members Anisha and Christian were professional and welcoming throughout my stay. Geo, the kitchen attendant, truly stood out—consistently providing warm, attentive service and making guests feel valued every morning. His dedication deserves recognition. Strong team members are present, but housekeeping standards need immediate improvement. Cleanliness is the foundation of hospitality.

I stayed here for an appointment I had in Morgantown. It was a good choice. It was close to where I wanted to be. It was affordable and had a great view of the stadium. I imagine this place is crazy on game day. The breakfast was 10/10. They had everything. Seriously I’ve stayed at. A lot of places and this was the best. I could eat this regularly and consider myself lucky and well fed. It was quiet. The outdoor area is really laid out nicely as well. I wouldn’t mind my backyard to have the same appeal. It was just a good stay and I would stay here again.

Hotel is a good distance off the highway but was clean except for the fact when we got into our room we opened the pullout bed and found dirty sheets, a pillow and used towels in the bed. We had to go back to the front desk to pick up clean bedding. Not something we wanted to do after a long day traveling. When we reported it to the lady when we checked out. She was shocked and said she will let her manager.

Convenience to hospital was good. The beds were horrible. You sink down in the middle of the mattress. Our Grandson and his family stayed in their room and the bed literally fell down to the floor. Definitely need new beds for rooms! Overpriced too. Families are struggling with family members in the hospital and I feel the hotel takes advantage of that.
