Do I need to have a UK-based guarantor?

You only need to provide a UK-based guarantor if you wish to pay your rent in three instalments. You do not need to provide a guarantor if youre paying the full annual rent

Can I move in before my contract starts?

Many of our student accommodations remain open during the summer, giving you the chance to settle in early, explore the city, and start making new friends.

Do I need to have a UK based guarantor?

Simply select the option of using Housing Hand as your guarantor during the CRM booking process or visit their website www.housinghand.co.uk to get a free quote and confirmation of eligibility in minutes. Once you complete Housing Hand application in full, they will send a confirmation to secure your room.

Can I bring my e-bike and e-scooter?

No, due to the potential fire risk with charging and storing e-bikes and scooters we are unable to accommodate these safely within our buildings

Am I allowed to have guests?

Yes. It is your home so you are allowed to have guests visiting you.*

How much is the Holding Deposit and what happens to it?

We ask you to pay a Holding Deposit to secure your room. When your tenancy commences, the Holding Deposit will convert into a refundable Security deposit. All deposits are registered with TDS which is a government accredited Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme provider. At the end of your tenancy a final inspection of your room will be carried out prior to your move out and if any deductions are required they will be discussed with you at this point. Assuming the room and its belongings are in the same condition as when you moved and you have provided your bank details within our Portal you will get your deposit back within 10 working days. Do NOT stay at this accommodation if you value your safety. Multiple crimes happened outside the accommodation recently and the area has become super unsafe, not to mention the gunshots heard last weekend and the protests that have been taking place right outside every Saturday. It has gotten to a point where police officers are stepping inside to speak to the reception staff. Stay somewhere else and don't say I didn't warn you.

Radiator in my room leaking water over my stuff. Vent above my bed is too loud making me lose hours of sleep every day. My bed is so small my feet stick out. Keycard to access my room sometimes does not work. I have to walk around the entire building to get outside, instead of just giving me backdoor access, and when I asked about this, they were so rude for no reason.
