It was lovely to stay at the Newgate Court. Everything from the uni to shops/pubs are super close. The rooms have all the facilities required, are spacious enough to store every belonging, and the kitchen is big enough to accommodate several people and still let everyone have their space. There are two study rooms, a movie room, game boards, a gym, and regular events to socialise. I loved every single minute of my time living there; the staff are super friendly and have helped me so many times, from exams to injury, and so much more. Overall, a lovely experience for me🫶

Overall, I have had a pretty good experience living in my accommodation. One of the best features is the location. It is incredibly close to my campus, as well as numerous types of shops. Which are perfect for all sorts of students. The location makes life so much simplier to not having to travel as far, and being able to do grocery shopping much faster than if I lived further away from the city centre. The rooms themselves are of decent size and come furnished so there are no worries about buying basic items. However, I like that you can purchase bundles of basic items needed for people living on their own for the first time.
Sarah
Living here as a first year, the rooms are great, there is plenty of storage and you get a nice bed. There is also a gym and two study spaces, which are great, you don’t even have to walk to the library. The staff are also amazing and super friendly, they always help you out when you need it and are even available 24/7. The location is also very central, so you’re basically near pretty much everything.
Talha
Accommodation is safe and secure, staff is friendly, and flats are nicely set up. Only problem: one lift's been broken since the academic year started, and the other doesn't even have a close button. Considering the price at £142 per week per person they should easily have fixed it by now. Fixing these issues would easily make it a 5-star experience.

I’m a first year student living in Newgate court accommodation and it is 10/10. The rooms are amazing and the staff are very much on top of the maintenance. The main point I want to highlight though is the reception staff, they truly make it feel like home, they’re always friendly and up for a chat, they look out for us and are caring, kind, considerate, NEVER rude to anybody and are just genuinely very helpful and kind people- they’re the BEST!! Thank you to all the amazing staff at Newgate, we appreciate you ❤️❤️❤️ shout out to Amber + Olivia✨
