I have been living in this accommodation for around 9 months now, and overall I really like it. The quality is good, the location is convenient, and my experience here has mostly been positive. However, there are still a few things that could be improved 1- like one problem is that the carpet or flooring in the room gets dirty very quickly. 2- when the room next to me closes their door loudly, sometimes the sound is so strong that I think someone closed my own door. 3- the sink water temperature It is either too cold or too hot, and it’s difficult to get a comfortable middle temperature.I sometimes started washing my face in the kitchen sink instead, because there I can actually make the water a medium temperature 4- The wardrobe/storage room is also quite small. 5- The laundry room is outside my building, so I need to leave the building and walk to another room for washing clothes. It is close, but sometimes it rains, sometimes it’s very cold, and honestly it makes me feel lazy to do laundry. Also, the laundry costs money every time, so that makes it even less convenient. I wish the laundry room was inside the building because it would be much easier. On the positive side: 1- the quality of the accommodation is good. 2- The desk is big and very comfortable for studying. 3- The location is also great because it is close to Northumbria University and the Quayside. 4- There is a small market in front of the accommodation, which is very useful when I don’t feel like walking to the far Tesco and just want something quick. There is also a pizza store nearby. 🌟One thing that really impressed me was when the kitchen toaster broke. They replaced it with a new one without blaming anyone or making us pay for it. I thought that was very professional and kind. Cleaners also come every month. Me and my flatmate already clean the kitchen deeply every week, but the accommodation cleaning is even more professional and detailed. 🌟Another thing I like is the mail room system. Parcels are organized alphabetically, so when you order something online, you only need to look for the shelf with the first letter of your name. For example, my name starts with “K,” so I only check the “K” section, which makes collecting parcels very easy. thanks✨

My experience in the accommodation has unfortunately been quite negative. While the room and kitchen look modern, there are have been several issues which have affected the experience. I moved into this accommodation from another nearby one due to safeguarding reasons and was reassured that there were no issues with the people in the flat. Unfortunately this has not been the case and there have been ongoing problems within the flat which have made the environment uncomfortable. I also later found out from the girl who previously lived in my room had told management she was moving to a studio because of ongoing problems with one of the flatmates being unhygienic and having antisocial behaviour. This was concerning as I had been told there were no issues before I moved in. Management and communication have not been good. The lift in my building was broken for several months before it was finally fixed, which made moving around the building difficult. When I first moved in it was broken and it took us 9 hours to move accommodation as we had to carry all the heavy luggage up 5 flights without any assistance from the staff. There have also been difficulties the flat that have not been handled well. Management were informed about a problematic flatmate who was leaving out food for a long time in our shared kitchen, which lead to mould, a foul odour, and flies. This flatmate has also posted images and screenshots on her social media without consent talking badly about us, which has created an uncomfortable living environment. When this was raised, I was asked to organise a meeting with everyone in the flat myself, which I felt should’ve been handled by management. They eventually sent out an email about arranging a meeting, but most did not see it or were busy, and nothing further was followed. Since then the situation has continued and has become worse. In terms of facilities, the kitchen is not very practical for six people. There is only one fridge, sink, oven, and stove shared between all the residents, as well as limited countertop space and not enough seats for everyone, which can make daily use extremely difficult and inconvenient. The previous accommodation I lived in had multiple appliances, more cupboards, countertop space and seating, which made shared living much more enjoyable. Although the room itself is decent, there isn’t enough drawer or wardrobe storage, the light is cool and harsh which makes the space less comfortable, and the bed is rock hard. The bathroom is modern, but the shower pressure is very weak and the water quality isn’t great throughout both the bathroom and kitchen taps. The water tastes like chemicals and tends to leave residue on hair. Overall, while the accommodation looks nice on the surface, the limited kitchen facilities, flickering lights outside the accommodation for months which are still not fixed, gate which is broken and permanently unlocked, unresolved flat issues and lack of proactive management have made the experience disappointing.

Moved into a new flat today and Michael was extremely helpful throughout the entire process and offered to help carry most of my things! As I was completely on my own his help was beyond appreciated and I want to thank him for going the extra mile to help tenants here! It was also late in the evening so I found it very kind of him to offer the help he did.

It's a student accommodation. Very well maintained and parking facility is great. Looks beautiful from outside. Rates are affordable as well. Near to Northumbria University (5mins walk) #studentaccomodation

Have been living here for 3 years now, the staffs are friendly and it’s a walkable distance from the university. You might get a chance of having a quayside view as well!
