Choosing student accommodation usually involves more than looking at the room itself. The distance to university, the cost of living there and the facilities available once you move in can all shape your experience during the academic year.
Albany Student Village Coventry offers a choice between en-suite rooms in shared flats and private studios, giving students some flexibility over how they want to live. The property is located on Albany Road in Earlsdon, with Coventry University, the University of Warwick and local amenities all within reach.
For students comparing Albany Student Village with other accommodation in Coventry, the property combines private living space with shared facilities, outdoor areas and on-site services that cover many of the practical parts of student life.
Address: Albany Road, Earlsdon, Coventry CV5 6JR, United Kingdom
The property is located in Earlsdon, an established residential area with shops, cafés and local services close by. Students can reach many everyday essentials without having to travel into the city centre each time they need something.
Co-operative Food and Heaven on Earth Supermarket are nearby for groceries, while GO LOCAL Queen's Road Convenience Store provides another option for smaller shopping trips. Warwickshire Shopping Park gives students access to additional shops and services.
The location also works well for students who want to balance university with life outside campus. Coventry railway station is within reach, while Canley and Tile Hill stations provide further rail connections. Local cafés and restaurants give residents places to meet friends or take a break from cooking.
Earlsdon has a more residential feel than Coventry city centre, which can appeal to students who want their accommodation away from the busiest central streets.
At the same time, the area remains connected to both Coventry's universities. Students attending Coventry University can travel into the city for lectures and campus facilities, while those studying at the University of Warwick can use local transport connections to reach campus.
For everyday life, having supermarkets, cafés and transport links nearby means students can keep most regular errands fairly simple.
Different students have different priorities when choosing where to live.
Some want the social side of sharing a flat, while others would rather have a studio and manage their own routine. Others may be more concerned with keeping bills predictable or having somewhere to study without staying in their bedroom.
Albany Student Village Coventry brings these different requirements together within one property.
Some of the reasons students consider the accommodation include:
Choice of en-suite rooms and self-contained studios.
Electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi and contents insurance included in the rent.
Fully furnished accommodation.
Study lounge for coursework and revision.
Cinema room and community kitchen.
Outdoor courtyards and dining areas.
Regular resident events.
On-site gym and tennis court.
Table tennis and Multi-Use Games Area.
Laundry and parcel collection facilities.
On-site convenience store.
Secure bike storage.
CCTV and secure door entry.
24-hour security and an on-site security team.
The combination of shared facilities and private accommodation gives students the option of being as social as they want to be. Someone who prefers a quieter routine can spend more time in their own room, while students who want to meet people have communal areas and resident events available.
Albany Student Village offers both shared en-suite accommodation and private studios. The range of prices means students can compare room size and privacy against their weekly budget before choosing where they want to live.

Prices can vary according to room availability and tenancy length.
All rooms are furnished, with utility bills, Wi-Fi and contents insurance included within the rent.
The en-suite options are suited to students who want their own bedroom and bathroom while remaining part of a shared flat.
There are several categories, from Standard En Suite rooms through to Large, Extra Large and Deluxe options. Students can therefore compare the amount of space they want against the weekly price rather than having to choose between shared accommodation and a studio outright.
Students who prefer greater independence can choose from several studio categories.
The Studio, Ground Floor Studio and Top Floor Studio options start at different price points, while Extra Large and Loft Studios offer more space for students willing to spend more each week.
A studio gives residents their own private living arrangement, which can be useful for students who prefer to study, cook and manage their daily routine without sharing their main living facilities.
The weekly rent covers several of the costs that students would otherwise have to manage separately.
Your accommodation fee includes:
High-speed Wi-Fi
Electricity
Gas
Water
Contents insurance
Fully furnished room
Having the main household bills included means students do not have to arrange separate utility accounts after moving in. It also makes it easier to work out the actual cost of accommodation before the tenancy begins.
For students comparing different properties, checking what is included can be just as important as comparing the headline weekly rent. A lower room price can work out differently once utilities and other household costs are added separately.
Coventry Student accommodation becomes part of your routine very quickly.
Study sessions, laundry, exercise, meals and time with friends all happen around lectures and coursework, so having facilities available on site can save students from making additional trips across the city.
Residents have access to:
Study lounge
The study lounge gives students another place to work when they want a change from their bedroom. It can be useful for revision, coursework or simply getting through a busy afternoon of university work.
Students can also use:
Cinema room
Community kitchen
Outdoor dining area
Outdoor courtyards
Regular resident events
These spaces give residents different ways to spend time outside their rooms. The community kitchen can be useful for shared meals, while the courtyards and outdoor dining area offer somewhere to sit outside when the weather allows.
Regular resident events also provide opportunities to meet people within the property, particularly during the first few weeks of the academic year.
Students can keep active without having to travel to a separate leisure facility.
The property includes:
Gym
Tennis court
Table tennis
Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)
Having several options within the property means students can fit exercise around lectures and other commitments rather than having to plan their routine around a gym elsewhere.
The property also includes:
On-site laundry
Parcel service
Bike storage
On-site convenience store
These facilities cover some of the smaller tasks that become part of everyday student life, from collecting deliveries to doing laundry and storing a bicycle securely.
Residents have access to:
24-hour security
Secure door entry
CCTV monitoring
On-site security team
These measures provide controlled access to the property and on-site support throughout the academic year.
The distance to university can affect much more than the morning commute. A manageable journey gives students more flexibility around lectures, library sessions, societies, part-time work and time spent with friends.
Albany Student Village Coventry is positioned for students attending both Coventry University and the University of Warwick.

Albany Student Village may suit students who want a choice between shared and independent living without having to leave the same property to find different room types.
The en-suite rooms provide a private bedroom and bathroom while keeping the wider flat shared.
For students starting university and looking to meet new people, this setup can make socialising more natural. You have your own space when you need it, but the shared areas give you somewhere to interact with flatmates.
The studio options offer a more independent way of living.
Students who prefer managing their own cooking, studying and daily schedule may find a studio more suitable than a shared flat. There are several studio categories, so the choice is not limited to one size or price point.
The property has plenty to do outside the accommodation itself.
The cinema room, community kitchen, outdoor courtyards and resident events offer social options, while the gym, tennis court, table tennis and MUGA provide ways to stay active without travelling elsewhere.
Electricity, gas, water, Wi-Fi and contents insurance are included in the weekly rent.
This can make budgeting easier because the main household costs are already accounted for when you work out your accommodation budget.
Laundry, parcel collection, bike storage and the convenience store can all be useful during a busy university week.
Students researching Albany Student Village parking should also note that the supplied property information does not specify the availability, cost or terms of resident parking. Those details should be confirmed directly before booking rather than assumed from the accommodation listing.

So I like the student accomodation and it is serviced well. Only thing is that some students or tenants can sometimes trash the place and the bins. For JLR apprentices, it is importantly to know that parking is not guaranteed and this can be very annoying Block D is not the best and I’d prefer a closer block B or block A Train track noise is terrible but the other side will have less privacy due to it facing the courtyard 5 star servicing and effort, But I cannot give a full 5 stars for my time due to some regrets of staying here in the block that I’m in. It really does make a difference.

Albany Student Village has been an excellent choice for our son. The accommodation is modern, very clean, and spacious, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment. From the moment we arrived, the team has been incredibly supportive. The site manager, Nicky, has gone above and beyond to help our son settle in, responding quickly to any questions or concerns and offering guidance whenever needed. This level of care has made the whole experience far less stressful for both him and us. The location is also very convenient. It’s easy to catch a bus into the university, and for days when he wants to explore the town, it’s a pleasant walk. The combination of well-maintained accommodation, helpful staff, and a great location makes Albany Student Village a highly recommendable place for any student.

I’ve had a great experience living at Albany Student Village. The location is perfect—it’s just a short walk to Coventry University and the city center, which makes morning commutes so much easier. The rooms are modern and the communal areas are always kept clean. Shoutout to the management team for being so helpful and making me feel at home from day one. Definitely recommend it for any students looking for a safe and social place to live!
