Finding a student room in Coventry usually means weighing up three things: rent, the journey to university, and how much space you want to yourself. Millennium View, at 25 Hales Street, Coventry CV1 1JB, has several room options, from a £101-per-week Accessible Studio to a Gold Studio listed at £209 per week. Water, gas, electricity and WiFi are included, so you can account for these bills when working out your budget.
The city-centre location puts supermarkets, cafes, shops and bus stops within easy reach. There are study rooms, a cinema room and an on-site gym inside the building, too. For students comparing Millennium View Coventry with other places to live, the decision will largely come down to the room you need, the rent you can manage and how you plan to get to campus.
Millennium View offers studios and en-suite rooms, but the difference between them matters more than the room names. A studio gives you your own kitchen and bathroom. An en-suite room has a private bathroom but comes with access to a communal kitchen, where you can cook alongside other residents.

The Accessible Studio is the least expensive option listed. If you have particular accessibility requirements, ask the accommodation team about its layout and facilities before booking rather than relying on the room name alone. The Silver Ensuite is another relatively low-cost option, provided you are happy to share cooking facilities with other residents.
The Silver Ensuite Plus costs £119 per week and offers a larger living area than the standard Silver Ensuite. Students who prefer to keep their kitchen private can compare the Silver Studio with Wet Room and Gold Studio, although these cost considerably more. The Gold Studio is listed at £209 per week.
These are the supplied prices, so confirm the current rates and availability before making a decision. Check the contract length, deposit, and any additional charges as well. A room that appears affordable at first may work out differently once the full contract cost is taken into account.
Having the main utility bills included makes budgeting a little more straightforward. At Millennium View, rent covers water, gas, electricity and WiFi. You will still need to set aside money for food, transport, course materials and other personal expenses, but you will not have to arrange separate payments for the listed utilities.
The building has a few useful spaces for the hours you spend outside your room. Study rooms give you somewhere to work when you need a quieter setting, while the common room offers space to sit with other residents. There is also a cinema room for movie nights and an on-site gym for exercise without having to travel to another facility.
Students in en-suite rooms can use the communal kitchens, which also offer a chance to get to know the people living nearby. WiFi is available throughout the building, and security arrangements include CCTV, on-site security, and 24-hour security.
Think about how these facilities fit your routine before paying more for a particular room. If you expect to spend most of your time studying in the library or using an external gym, some on-site amenities may matter less to you than room size or weekly rent.
The Millennium View Coventry address is 25 Hales Street, Coventry CV1 1JB. Its central position makes everyday errands easier to fit around classes, especially if you prefer walking to nearby shops rather than making a separate journey across the city.
Hales Street Transport Museum is a nearby bus stop, and Trinity Street (Stop TS4) is another option. These stops connect residents to local services, although the best route will depend on where you need to go and when you travel. Coventry railway station is also accessible for journeys to other parts of the UK.
The location is worth considering alongside your university timetable. A central address can be convenient for shopping and meeting friends, but your daily commute will depend on the campus and buildings you attend. Check the route at the times you expect to travel before deciding.
Millennium View is within reach of Coventry University and the University of Warwick, though they are not equally close.

Students attending Coventry University should check the walking route and available bus services for their particular building. The University of Warwick is farther away, so transport links and journey times deserve more attention if you have regular early lectures or need to travel to campus several days a week.
Remember to include travel costs in your accommodation budget. A cheaper room farther from university may not save much if you need to pay for transport every day. Comparing the total weekly cost, rather than rent alone, gives you a clearer picture of what living at Millennium View would mean financially.
Nisa Local at 27 Hales Street is close to the accommodation and useful for picking up everyday essentials. Tesco Express on Shelton Square, Co-op Food on Fairfax Street and Poundland on Market Way provide other options for groceries and household items.
Coventry Market is worth visiting for food shopping, while West Orchards Shopping Centre offers a broader selection of retailers. The wider city centre is close enough to make it easier to combine shopping with other errands instead of setting aside a separate afternoon for everything.
Students who plan to cook regularly should consider which supermarket they are most likely to use and how they will carry groceries back. A private kitchen in a studio gives you your own cooking space, while students in en-suite rooms will share a communal kitchen. Check the storage and cooking facilities available in your chosen room before booking.
There are several places around the city centre where you can stop for coffee, meet friends or have a meal out. The Vault Coventry and Shortland Coffee Co are options for a coffee break between classes. For a meal, you could consider The Lazy Monkey Bar & Kitchen or The Artisan Bar and Grill.
The Gatehouse Tavern and The Stag & Hen Pub are listed local options for an evening with friends. With these places close to the city centre, you have choices for socialising without needing to travel far from home.
Eating out can quickly become a regular expense, particularly during a busy term. Having a kitchen makes it easier to prepare most meals yourself and save restaurant visits for occasions when you want a change. That difference may be worth considering when comparing the weekly rent of a studio with an en-suite room.
Millennium View has its own gym, which may be convenient if you want to exercise around your classes. JD Gyms Coventry is another option to look into if you prefer an external facility. Check current membership prices, opening hours and the equipment available before deciding whether you need a separate membership.
Greyfriars Green and Swanswell Park & Pool provide places to walk or spend some time outdoors. They can be useful when you have been studying for hours and want a break without planning a longer trip.
Coventry University Medical Centre is also listed nearby. If you expect to use it, check its opening hours, appointment arrangements and eligibility requirements in advance.
The main appeal of Millennium View is the combination of a central Coventry address and a choice of room arrangements. The Accessible Studio starts at £101 per week, while the Silver Ensuite starts at £105. At the other end of the listed range, the Gold Studio costs £209 per week. The right option depends on how much private space you need and what your budget allows.
Students who want their own kitchen may prefer a studio, while those comfortable sharing cooking facilities might find an en-suite room more suitable. The on-site study rooms, common room, cinema room and gym are useful additions, but their value depends on how often you expect to use them.
If you are still comparing Coventry Millennium View with other student properties, look at the full cost of the contract, your commute and the room facilities together. You can browse student accommodation in Coventry to compare locations and room types before settling on a shortlist.

I’ve had a really positive experience staying at Millennium View. The staff are definitely one of the best things about the accommodation they’re always friendly, approachable and genuinely helpful whenever you need anything. Any questions or issues I’ve had have been dealt with professionally, and the team makes the place feel welcoming and comfortable. Overall, a good student accommodation in Coventry, especially because of the people working here.

I have been living in the accommodation for one year and have found the building very suitable and convenient for students. It's location, in the city centre is the key highlight, giving access to bus station, train station in, city centre, banks in walking distance. The staff has been very supportive throughout this year, and the events they conduct makes me feel that I am in home country. Thank you Milliennum view. I recommend to everyone.

Honestly I was kind of skeptical since they offer a much cheaper rate than other dorms in the area, but honestly I don't even know how they do it. Really good amenities (PS5, new gym equipment), tons of events, really nice staff (they gave me a goodie bag for CNY!!), and just a really, really great place overall. Super duper pleased.
