Globe Works, birmingham

This is 14th of July as I am posting this review ND I have planned to be in this property for 40 days but with just 2 days of my 40 days I have this view and now it has been 15 days and still I have the same view. Just to cover up there are other reviews also, but this is the state even today. I would love if the management take any action or do a partial refund of my booking or any thing would be better than this stink and view for sure..

Really disappointed and don't recommended to book and pay upfront with extra charges (including option "free cancellation" ) because is not free!!! Try canceled my reservation 4days before arriving time and apparently my fee cancellation terms was 5 days before.but when I chech the exactly same place and dates to book then I will still got options to cancel and get my refund up to tomorrow.really feeling mad and disappointed Be aware and make screenshots when you make reservations (for proof on future if have same situation like me) just make easy money and treat clients unfair!also don't give option to change the dates!!! Avoid!

I can’t recommend Globeworks highly enough, and especially David. My friends and I were trying to sort a flat share together after our original letting agent left us hanging with slow responses and constant delays. By the time we came to Globeworks, we were genuinely worried we’d end up split up across different properties.David took the problem seriously from the start. He worked hard to coordinate everything so the whole group could end up in the same flat, It made a huge difference having someone who actually followed through.If you’re a student trying to sort accommodation with friends, ask for David, he’ll actually get it done.

I’ve been living at Yugo Globe Works for a while now, and overall, my experience has been incredibly positive. The amenities and facilities provided are excellent — the gym, laundry room, and other common areas are well-maintained and easily accessible. The room I currently live in is very comfortable, and I’ve genuinely loved my time here. However, I do feel the need to mention one concern that affected my experience. While most aspects of the accommodation have been great, I’ve faced discomfort due to the behavior of some members of the security team — particularly a few South Asian male guards. Their overly familiar attitude, intrusive knowledge about my comings and goings, and the way they looked at me made me feel quite uneasy. It was especially unsettling that they seemed to know my name and details about my movements, which crossed personal boundaries. One individual in particular, a Pakistani security guard, made me feel extremely uncomfortable with his demeanor. I believe it’s important for Yugo management to ensure that security personnel maintain professional boundaries with residents, especially female students, to foster a safe and respectful environment. I hope this feedback is taken constructively and handled appropriately. I would prefer to remain anonymous while sharing this feedback. Thank you.

The staff is genuinely nice and helpful and the common places are good (including the games room and movies room). Although the studio rooms are really small. The gentry is not good. People keep howling like banshees every weekend (late at night) and it's very annoying. Half the accommodation smokes weed every day. Definitely not my kind of place.
