To preface, I don't expect much from landlords, just the usual respect and communication. However, as soon as Abramson Properties took over my lease, my boyfriend and I were pressured into signing the lease for the next year (about 8-9 months out still) WITH a $200 monthly increase in rent from our previous landlord. While we loved the building itself, we did not appreciate the pressure, so we decided we would not sign another lease. Immediately after we decided not to sign the lease for about at least 8 months out, we were bombarded with emails about apartment showings. Over the course of the 8 months, we received at least 23 emails (I say at least because I deleted many) about incoming apartment showings. These emails were either just at 24 hours notice or slightly before 24 hours. Out of the over 23 emails, only one showing actually came through. Of course, since it seemed to be a "the boy who cried wolf" situation, the apartment was a mess when they actually did come in for the showing. When we asked if the showings were actually going to happen (since many did not), we received a passive aggressive response (basically saying that they send out emails any time they have a showing for ANY of the apartments in the building, which there were over a dozen apartments in the building). Upon moving out, we only received half our deposit because they had to replace light bulbs (which you'd think is part of routine care costs), even though we bought replacement light bulbs ($40 for the fluorescents) and left then there on the counter, and other "cleaning" charges. The replacement lightbulbs and cleaning can be seen in the pictures that were taken right when we moved out. Additionally, the washers and dryers consistently had multiple out of order, which only happened a couple times with our previous landlord (over the course of about 2 years).

When we moved in, there was a broken window and the ceiling of one of the bedrooms would leak when it rained (both ended up getting fixed eventually). The unit itself was not up to code, there were no egress windows in the basement which was the majority of the unit with 3 bedrooms. Also had to pay full month’s rent when the lease ended on May 21st. Coin operated laundry units that we were told would be removed prior to moving in, which never happened, and between the roommates we spent hundreds of dollars on laundry throughout the year.

This is the best business that I have ever rented apartments from in any of the places I've ever rented from. The owner was very kind and understanding when something happened. He helped me find a very nice and affordable place. I recommend!!

This business is so so good I recommend it! The agency changed my life for the better and made me a happier and better version of myself. The owner was extremely sweet and helped me rent my dream apartment.

Lived in one of these apartments in 2014. It was a nice apartment and the landlords were amazing. (I did have some issues as I’m reading several people have had— but as most of what I’m reading mine was also a roommate issue- not landlord). I too hardly got anything back from my security deposit but it was because one of my roommates trashed the place. That being said I totally understand that when it’s not the bedroom specific and it’s the main area they have to charge ALL people living there equally. I think they followed proper procedure. Just make sure you know, and trust, all your roommates and you will love it here!!
