It's an amazing place to live at for Purdue Students. The Staff including Katherine and Edgar are extremely sweet and helpful. The maintenance personnel Mr. Cody is very prompt in helping regarding any issue. They host interesting activities and giveaways throughout the semester to keep the vibe going! The special bus to the campus makes travel very easy. Would definitely recommend any incoming Purdue Students to consider living here.

Great experience here!! The staff is very friendly and helpful! The utilities can get a bit expensive, especially during the winter months. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to a college student looking for a nice, safe and affordable place to live off of Purdue’s campus.

Lived at the lodge for a year. Many unpleasant experiences with how it was managed where I felt like an account number instead of a resident. I had an experience where their rent payment system would not let me pay rent and they refused to waive the late fee still. Just a very impersonal feeling overall which kind of sucks given it's where I was trying to make a home for year. The amenities are alright, but considering how expensive it was I do wish I had just lived closer to campus or was treated better. Another experience I had was that I was taller than the mattress provided so my feet would hang off the edge. When I asked them if I could just purchase my own mattress and they store the one provided they said they would not be able to take it from me. If anything happened to the mattress I would get charged as well. As for move out charges, me and my roommates all got high charges (one of my roommates got a $200+ charge for something I still don't even know) despite our best efforts which was disappointing to see. I lived at many places during my time at Purdue and this was my least enjoyed living experience.

Lodge on the Trail has a decently large apartment. Very spacious as well as giving each apartment a balcony. It’s a pretty nice place to live especially having your own bedroom and bathroom. I didn’t have a great experience from my first batch of roommates since both of them were friends and made me feel like an outcast. But I eventually got a great roommate this year. There is also a grocery store nearby as well as trails next door which is very nice. They were able to get a bus route to our stop this year, which is a bonus. However, the downside is that they increased their prices over the past three years. It used to be better than Purdue Housing prices, but increased its prices to keep competition with all other housing.

I lived at The Lodge on the Trail for almost 3 years from August of 2023 until May of 2026 and can confidently recommend this place to any student who may be looking for a place to live while attending school. From the leasing office staff to the maintenance team, everyone was always super helpful and accommodating. The staff here do an excellent job of keeping the property looking nice, and they are always making improvements to make the community look better. They host events for residents almost weekly. The amenities here are also incredibly nice, and there are several areas inside the clubhouse to study if you want to get out of your apartment.
