The best complex to live at close to campus! Extremely well-kept by maintenance and residents! The pool and parking offered is unmatched!

Grant St Station is a great apartment to live at as a student. It’s in a great location for both classes and night life, and has great amenities.

Living at granite has to be one of the worst experiences I’ve had. First of all, I had a hole in my closet ceiling for close to 2 months before they decided to fix it. They charge $45+ for a simple drain unclog. Now both of the elevators are broken and they are saying it is not a maintenance emergency. Do they not care if there are disabled people in the building that can’t do that many stairs or any at all? Finally, the gym is hardly an amenity. It doesn’t even open until 10 to “not disturb residents” but of course their maintenance team can be knocking on your door at 8am. All of the treadmills are now broken and atleast 1 has been broken since I moved in here.

Horrible Experience and Living Nightmare: -Trash chutes and hallways are filthy. A lot of spoiled kids who have no regard for keeping the public complex sanitary. People do not clean after their pets and you can see feces adorning the floors. -Very obnoxious & loud neighbors and very thin walls. I have been recording obscene noises daily since I moved in last year August 2018. Day, morning, and night, I hear screeches, howling, marbles rolling across the floor, thumps, and loud bass music that shakes and reverberates my walls, especially at 1-3 am consistently. Granite's response? "Call the cops, it's not our problem, we sent them a noise notice before." I have called the cops multiple times and tried giving these neighbors warnings. Didn't work. -For rent that is $1425-1500 per month that DOES NOT include electricity or water, Granite charges unreasonably high prices that rivals some parts of California. They do not care about you as a customer, only as a quick cash grab since students quickly come and go graduate.

The Place is nice enough but the staff is completely unprofessional. We had a tour set up 1 hour after leasing opened, we were there early and were ready to sign same day. We had called multiple times weeks before to ensure that we would not be losing out on a spot by going to the tour which they assured us that although they can not "guarantee" anything that we had nothing to worry about. During the tour we were led to believe that we would have our pick of many units. Our tour was also of an occupied apartment with sleeping girls inside who did not seem to know we would be there (we were a group of 4 boys). After our tour we told the agent we were ready to sign and told us we had to apply on a website and could not sign the same day. We applied within 15 minutes of leaving (and paid $200 in application fees) and were notified later that day that there were no spots left, obviously a scam for our application fees, and leaving us desperate for a new place to live. I also know other students who have had the same experience. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND BOOKING HERE AS THEIR LEASING OPENS LATE AND IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU YOU MAY END UP WITHOUT A PLACE TO LIVE.
