Crosswalk Commons, west-lafayette-in

Very nice apartments within a short walk of campus! It was such a huge improvement in quality of life when I went from dorm living to have my own little living room and kitchenette. :) The building comes with a nice lobby, little study areas on every floor, a bike shop, a lego table, a game closet, and the best RAs. Of course, the place isn't perfect: Some apartments have more maintenance issues than others, and you have to experiment a little before you find a fully functioning washer and dryer. But overall I had a super positive experience and would highly recommend to any Boilermaker seeking an escape from the housing lottery.

I have to be honest, I wish I didn't have to give this place one star no fault to any specific person just on overall poor experience. Walls are paper thin, was threatened by the next door neighbor for talking in my room at 10 pm on a Friday. i got charged exorbitant fee for not cleaning any up, even though I did. Following up that was not properly cleaned before arriving, left over shower hooks, tuna package in room, moldy spot in fridge, etc... Monthly "health checks" that do nothing but bother you if you are trying to study. Fire alarm went off at least 5 times while I was there. Half way year through underwent mandatory change in getting into building key fob to phone. If your phone died you couldn't get into the building. Lastly, bike got stolen in bike rack locked up on premise. No cameras to help out. Key takeaways, watch out for cleaning fees, unsafe premise, thin walls, and health checks. Otherwise it was fine tiny room, bare apartment, typical college housing situation.

The place is quite and the tenants are friendly. There is a common kitchen for preparing meals, a wide area for games activities and a mini- cinema room to watch movies every weekend.

Best place to live near the north part of Purdue campus! I love the free van best, to Walmart everyweek, and to Chinese store every two weeks! Furnitures are new. Staff are friendly and helpful, welcome to international students especially! If you are a first year international student, you will find Crosswalk a perfect place to start a new campus life!

This is a cozy place. The common area has a ping pong table and is well-maintained. The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
