Tracey and Spencer are such nice people! They listen to resident’s requests for events and are always doing fun giveaways. Truly the best staff! Our apartment is older so we have had a few things not working well/break. Maintenance does a great job in responding and communicating with us about the timeline for things being fixed.

I love living with C2! They throw great events and give out lots of free food. The management is so friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that they have a third party for utilities that adds extra fees and is really delayed in processing.

Rent is very affordable, especially compared to other renters around Lafayette. Any time maintenance is requested they come out that day or the next. Staff is very friendly and hosts events at the leasing office all the time like free food and activities. That being said, with the cheaper rent, you get what you pay for so don’t expect lavish hotel quality, but they’re good places to live that just have a couple old building quirks.

C2 living is close to campus, but poor management makes living here stressful. To preface, C2 hosts events at the clubhouse as a way to bribe tenants into giving them good reviews. In many instances, they have verbally asked for positive reviews because they are "now under new management" to drown out poor ratings. I am not familiar with who was managing them before, but I don't feel many of the reviews in August/September are truthful reviews, especially if they only mention events. These reviews are likely from new tenants who haven't experienced the full extent of the management. If you are new to the housing market and are looking at C2 be warned that C2, like many other leasing agencies will rush you into signing a lease. Though it comes off as good intent, management will always talk about signing leases with a sense of urgency no matter the actual demand of the property. This has happened to me both when initially signing the lease and when signing to re-lease. I would advise you to do your research well before signing, but it is hard when there are rarely any truthful reviews of C2. Other than that, when given the chance, maintenance is quickly responsive, but not very effective. The management has two different methods for creating maintenance requests, but heavily promoted the google form version over the resident portal. From what I can tell, the google form is then manually transferred by the management into an official work order on the portal. Requests put on the google form were not touched for over a month until a formal complaint was brought up. After the data was transferred, maintenance came the same day, but left several fixes incomplete or worse than before. In many cases, requests were resolved on the portal when the issue was obviously not looked at nor fixed. However, I do acknowledge that the maintenance team likely feel rushed by a large influx of maintenance requests in the beginning of semesters. Maintenance isn't necessarily the issue, rather it is how the management is handling the team and requests. Finally, many of the buildings are very old, but decently cheap. I would say that initially it seems you do get what you pay for. Housing feels cozy, but small, and of course not luxurious. However, after many such issues with management it is hard to justify living here, other than as a last option. As always, C2 may seem cheap, but they have a lot of hidden fees that might go initially unnoticed in lease and re-lease agreements. I personally, don't mind the condition of housing. But it is very frustrating, as a student, to feel solely responsible for every issue with my living situation without the promised help of management.

I lived at one of their apartments for three years and enjoyed several of the amenities like dinners and donuts. Everyone there is great!
