I HAD TO CONTACT THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO GET HELP WITH A MOLD ISSUE: I would strongly advise people to think twice before signing a lease at Alight. My experience has been extremely stressful, and I wish I had been warned beforehand. I brought concerns to management about mold in my apartment PANTRY and provided clear pictures showing the issue. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, I felt like they dismissed the situation and denied there was a problem. Even after previous cleaning, I still had concerns about remaining mold and the impact it could have on my health, especially with my allergies. When I went to the leasing office to address these concerns, I remained completely calm and respectful. However, I was labeled as the aggressor, which was confusing and upsetting because I was simply trying to have my concerns addressed. Staff threatened to call the police and told me to leave before the police arrived, which felt like an intimidation tactic rather than an attempt to resolve the situation. And yes, they did actually call the police! And I was told that I was doing nothing wrong! The way the situation was handled left me feeling disrespected and unheard. I also felt there were racial bias undertones in how I was treated and how quickly the situation escalated, making me out to be “An Angry Black Woman.” I’d also like to mention that I am not the only one, there have been numerous other tenants complaining of mold and they are not willing to do air quality test themselves. I called myself and got an estimate of 650 dollars and now I understand why! They don’t care about your health, only money. They’d rather you suffer from mold exposure then actually do something about it. At this point I’ve scheduled two different doctors appointments with concerns. Overall, my experience with Alight has been extremely disappointing. I would encourage anyone considering living here to ask questions, document everything, and be prepared to advocate for yourself If you read all this and still wanna live here: I’m currently looking for someone to take over my lease!!!

Please choose any other place to live gigantic money grab. Didn’t clean the room before I showed up. Power off cigarettes in the drawers forgot i was moving in. Charged me to clean when i moved out even though, they gave it to me in terrible conditions and i gave it to them in better conditions than they gave to me. I have advised everyone not to renew plenty of new apartments getting built and treat the people better. Super overpriced and hidden fees PLEASE CHOOSE SOMETHING ELSE.

I do not recommend this apartment complex AT ALL! Unless you like the stress of constantly worrying about random extra fees I would not live here. They charge you an outrageous amount for things that were left in the apartment before move in or that could be considered traditional wear and tear of a space. The apartment was not clean when I moved in, smelled like smoke and had many paint chips on the walls and It was cleaner when I moved out and they still charged me a large amount for said damages. All of the fees due to their “policies” are insanely high and they typically do not allow you to fix an issue before they just charge you. I do not recommend this complex!

Avoid this place unless you want constant stress, surprise charges, and a miserable living environment. I’m writing this because I genuinely wish someone had warned me before I signed a lease. 1) Unstable and unexplained electricity charges. My electricity bill swings wildly from month to month even though my actual usage is basically the same. One month it can be under $100, and the next month it suddenly jumps to $200+ without any meaningful change in how I live. When I asked management for an explanation or a breakdown that actually made sense, the response was essentially, “That’s just how we charge, we follow the rules,” with no transparency and no real accountability. It feels arbitrary, and as a tenant you are left with no way to verify whether you are being billed fairly. 2) Forced “services” that turn into non-negotiable fees. This apartment is aggressive about adding charges to your account. For example, if you leave a trash bag outside your door even briefly (including situations where you were planning to take it out yourself), staff may remove it and then automatically add a fee to your account. There is no warning, no option to decline the “service,” and no room to discuss it afterward. It creates a situation where normal day-to-day living becomes a trap for extra charges. 3) Extremely poor soundproofing that destroys any sense of peace. If you are even slightly sensitive to noise, living here will drive you crazy. I can hear neighbors talking and laughing through the walls, and I can even hear snoring at night. On top of that, the upstairs noise is constant: heavy footsteps and loud thumping, plus the rumbling sound of an upstairs washing machine. This is not occasional noise; it is the kind of ongoing disruption that makes it hard to sleep, study, work, or relax in your own home. 4) Old, dirty, and poorly maintained units. The apartment is visibly outdated and in rough condition. There are gaps and cracks where walls and floors meet, and multiple areas show signs of mold and general deterioration. I’ve also seen cobwebs and dirty, corroded or damaged spots that make the place feel neglected. Ventilation fans and other fixtures feel old, grimy, and difficult to clean properly, and if you want anything deep-cleaned or addressed, it often turns into yet another opportunity for the property to charge you more. Bottom line: This place is overpriced for what you get, and the combination of unpredictable utility charges, forced fees, terrible noise insulation, and run-down conditions makes it an awful living experience. I would strongly recommend that any potential tenant look elsewhere unless you are willing to pay a premium to be frustrated every month.

First of all the amenities are not trash, not gonna lie (not great either). What I want to rant about is their management team. I have lived in multiple apartment complexes there has never been one is as irresponsible as this management team. They find some stupid reasons to turn you away, until you report to their parent company, or tell them you gonna find a lawyer to defend your right. Lastly, my comments aren't directed at the office staff individually. They're decent people doing their jobs. My concern is with the higher management and the overall lack of care for residents.
