Village Apartments USH Affiliated Housing at WCU, west-chester-pa

Pay too much money for it to be mold , in bathrooms no new shower filters things of that sort . Very convenient in regards to getting to north campus for class .

They are pretty good with completing work orders and maintenance fairly quickly. The only issue I've ever had with them is packages for my roommates and I going missing, but that also could have been the post offices fault. Overall living with them has been great. The village is a little far from north campus but the shuttles run frequently and stop basically everywhere on campus. The pros definitely outway the cons.

Amazing apartment complex for college students. These apartments include individual rooms for each roommate living in the apartment, a bathroom for every 2 roommates, a full kitchen, living room, and even laundry room with washer and dryer. So nice for a college dorm!

The apartments are okay, but University Student Housing (USH is a private organization that owns the apartments. They are not owned by West Chester University.) is out to charge you as much as they can, above and beyond rent, while you're under lease. They make you pay your first month's rent before financial aid comes in, and they have no agreement with WCU to get paid directly. So, basically, you have to wait for the university to get paid, then wait for them to turn around that payment to you, then deposit it, and then pay USH. In that time, USH will charge you $150 in late fees, which will happen every single semester, on top of the roughly $815/month rent they expect from you per month (They collect over $3200/month for each 4-bedroom apartment.). All of this could be circumvented by making a payment agreement with the university, or restructuring the rent system around the financial aid system of the university, but USH can't be bothered to do so. They are literally forcing residents to pay the incentive to not do so. Do not be fooled by the smiling faces.

Better to stay here over the summer, not during the school year.
