I have been pleased with the WIHN experience. The staff promptly addresses any issues and really work to answer questions. The location is amazing and convenient, with Union Station just a quick walk and the Giant grocery store nearby. For convenience, the location cannot be beat. The kitchen is decently stocked with utensils and cookware, although it varies a bit from apartment to apartment. The mattress is comfortable enough. Amenities at Senate Square are nice, although I really just used the screening room and the rooftop. The apartment is nice and roomy for multiple people, although there is some mild to moderate "wear and tear" on the floor and furniture. That is why I gave it four stars. For an inexpensive and safe location, this is a great option! I will recommend it to other interns.

Living at The Washington Intern Housing Network made my internship in D.C. so much easier. The location was perfect—close to the Metro, safe, and surrounded by great food spots. Plus, I met amazing people who were also interning from around the country.

Under no circumstance should any university looking for intern housing book through WIHN. Through our semester long stay at the Barbara, we dealt with centipedes, millipedes, massive amounts of ants in the kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, moths, cockroaches, and even a rat in one of the units. It took WIHN 5 days to respond to a maintenance request marked with high urgency for an ant infestation. The building ran out of laundry cards, and the 16 members of our program were forced to share one laundry card for the first two weeks of our stay. Additionally, laundry is ridiculously expensive for the intern population that it serves, and one of the three available washers leaves the clothes sopping wet, despite multiple maintenance requests to fix it. Kitchen and furniture items were missing that were supposed to be included with the apartment. With the understanding that temporary intern housing is difficult to find in DC, I would advise program directors to look into any other option, and thoroughly read each review.

I think I speak for all of the students in the Wisconsin in Washington Program when I say that the Washington Intern Housing Network has been great for all of us. The rooms are nice, the community is great, and it has been a wonderful time so far in DC. Thank you so much!

WIHN provided everything I needed for a comfortable and stress-free stay. The furnished apartment, included utilities, and professional support made it easy to focus on my internship. I'd definitely stay with them again
