The George DC, washington-dc

My son will be staying at the George over the summer. After looking for a couple of weeks, this option seems very ideal for undergrads/graduate students for summer internship. Prices good, location great. A little tricky to navigate the process bc of specific start and stop system, but doable. Kemi Adedoyin is fantastic. Management should be incredibly proud to have Kemi representing the organization. She was super knowledgable and incredibly responsive both before and after we signed our agreement.

The management made use of the DC laws to defense their irresponsible attitude towards HVAC. While the regulations require the room temperature above 65 degrees overnight during the heating season, they emphasize that they will not turn on the AC until the weather is so hot that the outside temperature goes above 68 degrees in the nights. WHICH MEANS, during the spring, even if the weather kept to be extremely hot for a whole month that every day the outside temperature goes to over 80 degrees, they suppose it's a right choice not to turn on the AC if there are three random cold days. Don't sign a lease here, or you will live in Sahara forever.

This is long overdue but huge shout out to our property manager, Kaleab Medhane! He works so hard and is on top of everything….plus he is so friendly and knows everyone in the building. PLUS he takes care of everything efficiently and quickly. I am truly impressed with his dedication to his job and our building. He hosted an event for residents and future residents last Friday and it was epic:) We are super lucky to have him!

The managers of this apartment is unbelievable. While the HVAC in this building is a 4-pipe system, you can't get AC whenever it turns warmer in spring, and the room temperature would go beyond 85 degrees even during the night. When you turned to the managers, they would not do anything but repeat DC laws to you saying that the heating has to be on. I lived here for almost two years, and I have to go to hotels whenever the weather is warm. Ironically, I have almost visited all hotels around foggy bottom, ans I have to pray for colder weathers even in spring. The rent rate here is almost the highest around foggy bottom and Georgetown, but I bet it's definitely overpriced because they are providing unqualified services. What's more, they also said that they would not accept cancellations on the leases due to the AC issues. HOW INTERESTING!!!!!

Great place to live. Beautiful apartment, great amenities, and excellent staff.
