Compared to other Tuscaloosa options, the bluff is spacious. However there were more downsides. This one particular unit received over 20 noise complaints and management was empathetic but overall nothing was done; I had to get the police involved and it messed up my sleep schedule and quality of living. The pool was drained during the warm months so we couldn’t use it. They do construction at 8 o clock in the morning during the semester instead of when people are gone in the summer. The printer in the office never worked. Also a major security issue is the gate never worked. My roommates car was broken into. And then when we would try to leave the parking lot, the gate wouldn’t open when it was shut. Our apartment building didn’t have its own dumpster so we would have to walk a substantial amount to throw out our trash.

Horrible place to live, I’ve been locked out of the so called “24 hour” clubhouse (where the gym/pool are located) almost every time I try to use them and when I call to see if the worker I can very clearly see sitting at the desk on her phone can open the door I get an AI assistant instead of a person. Maintenance barely knocks they just let themselves into the units with no heads up and track mud in with them, the construction crews they have working here have been creepy at best and leering at the young women who live here while they work on siding for 5 months (because that’s how long that should take) not to mention they begin work at 7 am and it’s impossible to get anything done here because of how loud they are, personally they make me feel very unsafe. You pay for the amenities and square footage of a balcony and clubhouse access neither of which you will ever get to step foot in because of constant construction, not to mention how filthy and covered in cockroaches this place was when I moved into the units, there were still previous residents belongings in my room. And all of this is if the gate even works to let you into the complex, sometimes it won’t open and sometimes any old person could waltz up into the “safe” gated community. And I have never once seen the “security” that is supposedly patrolling 24/7 .Truly living here has been one of the worst experiences of my life, do not do it it isn’t worth the pains.

Jamie was so awesome with touring my future home. Best experience ever and everyone was super nice. Gave the best information and advice ever. Can’t wait to move in to my forever home 🥰🥰

I (late 20s, graduate student) have lived here for three years now, and while it isn't perfect, it is a very good place to live (especially when you're enrolled at UA). The apartment I have with a roommate is very spacious, the amenities are very nice (made plenty of use of the gym, and the bus coming directly to and from campus has been one of the best parts), and the staff has always been very friendly (again, special mention of the front office staff). There are improvements to be made of course, but it's an apartment complex in a college town and many of these things are to be expected. Highly recommend giving it a look if you're moving to Tuscaloosa.

So far, the experience has been decent. The apartment is very nice and the amenities are good. Big living room and it is nice having my own private bathroom. However, when I first moved in, it did not seem like the bathroom had been cleaned. there was hair all in the shower and mold in the toilet. My drains were also severely clogged. There is no pantry for the three bedroom and not much space to put food. My roomates and I all keep food in our room because theres not enough space for all of us. There are also random "inspections" all the time. Even though they give notice, it is still annoying getting an email every other week saying someone is going to be entering the apartment. It is so strange having people come into the apartment all the time. I've never lived in a complex that has more than 2 inspections a year. I might reccomend it if the rent hadn't gone up so much. However, if youre willing to pay the price its not a bad option and close enough to campus.
