I would not recommend living here to anyone. After spending a year at this apartment complex, I can honestly say it has been one of the most frustrating rental experiences I’ve ever had. The biggest issue has been the constant billing problems. My utility charges have randomly increased, and when I tried to get an explanation, I was told the additional charges were “back pay” for previous months—even though I had already paid my utility bills for those months. No one has been able to provide a clear breakdown that actually makes sense, and it feels like residents are expected to simply accept unexplained charges. The maintenance issues throughout the year were just as disappointing. My washing machine didn’t work for the entire first month I lived there, which was incredibly inconvenient. My ceiling also leaked on multiple occasions, and at one point there was so much water trapped above it that the ceiling actually began to sag. On top of that, I had what appeared to be black mold in my bathroom that became an ongoing concern. One of the most alarming issues was my front door lock. The lock was defective to the point that other keys could unlock my apartment, creating a serious security concern that no resident should ever have to worry about. To make matters worse, when I signed my lease, I was promised a $200 incentive off one month’s rent. Despite following up, I never received it. Communication with the leasing office has been terrible. It’s nearly impossible to get someone on the phone, and when you do call, it often goes unanswered or the call is disconnected before you can get any real help. Trying to resolve any issue has been unnecessarily difficult from start to finish. Overall, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. Between the unexplained utility charges, ongoing maintenance problems, apparent mold in the bathroom, a front door lock that didn’t provide basic security, poor communication from management, and the failure to honor the incentive that was promised when I signed my lease, I cannot recommend this apartment complex. If you’re looking for housing in Tuscaloosa, I would strongly encourage you to consider literally any other living option before choosing this one. I genuinely regret signing a lease here and would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a safe, well-managed place to live.

Security sucks. My guest car was stolen out of the parking lot due to the fact of the gate not closing and inadequate security. Gates have not worked all year. There are no security cameras throughout the property. There have been several gunshots and incidents at Redpoint. Utilities are ridiculously high. Office staff lacks professional attributes. They vape in the office and doesn’t take complains seriously. Currently have an ant infestation in my apartment and they can’t do anything about till a week out. Trash valet is a pointless charge.

I don't even want to give 1 star. If I could give a negative I would. The management is awful and in the short amount of time I've lived here have been turned over due to reasons I'm sure you will be able to conclude after further reading. Within the first few weeks of living here, mind you my roommates and I don't know anyone who lives in this complex. We had a few weeks of living in fear where these guys in masks would come beat on our door as if trying to get in and they almost succeeded the plate holding the deadbolt in place became loose. We contacted redpoint "security" and Police and no help. This occurred multiple times a night for weeks. Pretty alarming for young women living by themselves. Our parents contacted management and they proceeded to do, you guessed it!!! Nothing! 😊 Not even fixing the gate to work when they assured me and my parent they could atleast do that. I still have never seen it shut. Then we get on to maintenance and apartment issues, I can't even begin because I do not feel like being annoyed today. But just know your requests for things to be fixed, if answered, will not be fixed properly and you will have to call an outside source to help you! Also neighbors, people party everyday of the week! I can understand weekends I like to have fun too but people need to sleep. Redpoint also lets tenants do whatever they want with no repercussions wether it's technically legal or illegal. Be prepared for it to smell like weed all the time, people drag racing through the streets, and partying until the sun comes up. If you are in a pinch with money and this is looking like your best bet. RUN. Start door dashing and live somewhere comparable for $200 more. It will be the best money you've ever spent. Oh and I can't forget to put in my personal favorite wake up call I've gotten "Come out with your hands up Come out with your hands up" -the Police trying to detain my neighbors🤗 Literally live anywhere else.

Rats, Flooding, Horrible Management, and more! I currently live at Redpoint and the management team is absolutely horrible. On move-in day they were unavailable due to too many people calling with issues. They also said they would pressure wash our porch that is so nasty and never did. I also have had several issues with the ceiling in my apartment flooding and leaking water, every time they tell me it’s not an emergency and they will get to it when they can. It has flooded 3 times now since move in. The apartment was disgusting when I moved in and I was missing drawers from my bathroom sink and my dad had to paint my cabinets because they looked horrible. The shower and vents had mold in them on move-in day. My shower head was also covered in mold ( they did eventually come replace it but it’s the principle that you allowed me to move in with that there) Also the unit looks NOTHING like the one they show you in the tour. I also delivered my package to my mailbox and apparently no one at redpoint has a key to their mailboxes??? Their mailbox key is broken and basically they told me there’s nothing they can do. Receiving my package has been such an unnecessary headache. Redpoint has caused me so much stress and I can’t wait to move. I will say I have never saw any bugs or rats like other people say, I’m very clean though so that may be why. (edit) WE HAVE SAW A RAT. Do not live here. Jennifer Bridges got on the phone with me to discuss the issue with such an unprofessional and demeaning tone. It is ridiculous how she manages her property. They also took 4 weeks to get rid of the rat and we had to set out or own traps. Their pest control guy was never reachable and he didn’t even look for it when he came! They also said in order to move units they would charge ME even tho our unit had a rat that they took forever to remove. DO NOT LIVE HERE, I WOULD BE HOMELESS BEFORE I STAYED ANOTHER YEAR. (Also their reply shows exactly how management handles issues by sweeping them under the rug and downplaying them. It took them over a week to send someone to look for the rat and several more to actually catch and to get the dead rat off the trap and the issue was not easily solved! They sent people to catch the rat and they were grown men running from it. Also “a small field mouse” is a crazy way to downplay a rat! Notice how they don’t address the constant leaks and flooding or the missing drawer on move-in or pretty much anything else. Management is horrible like I said, DO NOT LIVE HERE!) another update: So I am interning for the summer therefore I am not at the apartment. My roomates have informed me we now have mold as well 😐 (picture below)

Do not live here. The apartments are in disgusting condition, and staff will not do anything to help. My family and I had to pay extra for a professional cleaner before move in, because Redpoint refused to assist us. Door locks will sometimes not unlock, even if you have a key. This is very inconvenient if you’re a student on a tight schedule and do not have time to wait on maintenance just to enter your room. Do not waste time or money towards this place. You can do better.
