Lark is such a great place to live with an amazing staff and maintenance team. Everyone is always so sweet and welcoming when you walk in the door! Niyah is one of the employees here and she has always been so nice to everyone that has ever walked into Lark, even guests. They also have a great social media team, and their posts are always entertaining!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I could write an entire book about all the issues that come with living at this place. The maintenance is horrible, the quality of things in the apartment is horrible (specifically the carpet) , trash piles up in the garage which is on the building 2 side and last but not least …..THE RODENTS!!!!!! FYI be prepared to share your living space with rats and roaches. Also please make sure to take before pictures of your entire apartment prior to moving in…..when it’s time to move-out they will come up with ridiculous fees. What i will say is if you’re in building 1, you’re lucky! Building 2 is mistreated and forgotten about in so many ways, they should just tear it down and start over. Good luck to those who reside there. 🫣

Lark Tuscaloosa is only good if it’s your absolute last resort and you need somewhere super cheap to live. Aside from that, STAY AWAY. The hallways were always smelly and roach covered, it’s a 5 minute walk to your car unless you pay extra for the downstairs lot (which is never full but they will tow residents anyway), the A/C broke at least 6 times during my stay, the Ethernet ports (which we were told worked when we toured) never worked. I also had my rent price increased AFTER resigning to live there another year. They also started making visitors pay a ridiculous amount for parking, so hangouts became much less frequent. At least one elevator on the premises will be down at all times, and it took about 2-3 months for them to fix the elevator that’s connected to the downstairs parking lot. Not sure why I’d pay extra to park in the downstairs lot when the elevator is always broken. The employees up front and the maintenance guys were always friendly and willing to help though. One last note, they also charge an absurd amount for move out repairs, so make sure you don’t even leave a grain of dust behind or they’ll charge you for it. At least future residents can look forward to a Raising Canes within walking distance.

This is like genuinely the worst place you could possibly pick to live in Tuscaloosa. Its dirty. It smells. You have to pay for guest parking despite there being an abundant amount of spaces- literally NEVER full. They intentionally instated this after everyone signed leases. My own mother had to pay to stay so she could care for me after surgery...... There are also roaches. The halls smell like weed 24/7. There is dog pee and poop everywhere. I almost had to report them to Tuscaloosa County Public Health about it cause they just let the dog pee sit and marinate on the stairs. They finally cleaned it after I emailed management. The elevator that goes down to the basement level was broken for six months. Had to use the dog pee stairs to leave and it flared up my chronic knee issues. Again, didnt get fixed till a complaint was filed. They also dont enforce handicap parking, so if you require handicap spaces I dont recommend living here. Regular able bodied people without permits will park in the handicap spaces and the complex wont tow them (but dont worry they charge for guest parking!!!). The apartments also came with faulty appliances. Our sink quite literally fell out of the counter. Everytime it does this they just slap some more adhesive on there and prop it up with a 2x4 piece of wood. It leaks when we do dishes because the three layers of glue arent even. Apartments also not clean upon arrival. Dust and HAIR everywhere. They actually painted over hair on the baseboards. Absolutely disgusting. They will still charge you a cleaning fee at move-out though despite not actually cleaning or repairing anything. Theyll just duck-tape broken stuff. They will also try to charge you for your roomates damages if they move out before you. Wifi goes out frequently too which is crazy for STUDENT housing. Be careful trying to do timed assignments. Despite all these issues, they will still raise your rent every year you live there. The money doesnt go to fixing anything though. It just feeds their CEOs pockets. I hate living here. Do not be fooled at the tour when they show you the nice front lobby and pool. Its all for show. Everything else sucks. Please dont live here.

Lark is awesome! The staff and enmities are great. I have friends that live here and I visit often and have been well taken care of each time. In particular one staff member, I believe her name is Niyah, she is very knowledgeable and a great conversationalist! I follow the Instagram and often participate in giveaways but win nothing bc I don’t live here😭 but great apartments nonetheless.
