If I could put less than a star I would. It took them three months to get my washer fixed, management comes into your apartment randomly, higher management above them never answers emails, and random fees are always added to my flex account. Besides that the floors have stains from trash stains, animal feces are wherever outside the apartment complex, and overall apartments are in very bad condition. My parents recently visited and noticed the air filter in the apartment was very dirty, and had to go to the store themselves and buy a new air filter. Besides all that it’s close to campus so that’s nice that the gas I save from being close can go straight to the annex.

A pipe burst in our apartment, flooding two of the four rooms. We got the water shut off and maintenance worked over the next few days to dry out our apartment. After this we went to the front office and/or called them almost every day for the next month, but no one got back to us. When the office staff was there, we made them aware of the situation. However the office was left unattended for weeks at a time. I had to call corporate numbers multiple times to finally get on the phone with anyone. When I told them about our pipe having burst they said this was the "first anyone had heard about it" despite the fact that it had been four weeks at that point, maintenance knew about it, the office staff was aware of it, and we had been reaching out constantly. While repairs were being made to the pipe, there was mold found in the bathroom. Despite this, we were only given a two bedroom unit for the four of us. The repairs were finally finished after ten weeks. Overall, I could not recommend this property to others. The lack of communication and urgency in addressing this situation was extremely disappointing. Not having water in our apartment for ten weeks was a huge inconvenience for us and it seemed as if management did not care to make it right.

I’ve lived in The Annex for two years now and I’m paying my rent and leaving immediately. The first year wasn’t so bad, besides the intense flea problems and my wifi never working in my apartment. Leaving before my lease even ends because my wifi no longer works and there’s fleas so bad I can’t even do anything about it. I’m talking right when you walk in the apartment, there’s fleas crawling up your legs because the hallways are so filthy. It’s made my life and my cat’s life completely uncomfortable. Trash always piled up in hallway/property, stains all over floors, I’ve seen dirty litter sitting in the stairwell for days. The hallways always smell bad. I’ve had my water go out in the winter for days and the maintenance crew not classify that as an emergency. Also, getting packages has been a pain too. My packages have come up missing for weeks and the management crew blamed the post office for my missing packages, just for them to randomly all pop up out of the blue weeks later. Poorly ran building with a team that seems to not care about its tenants.

My experience at the Annex this past year was less than ideal, to say politely. My car was towed after the first week, with no warning from the Annex (despite being told several times an email was sent, it was only sent after the fact). Come September, I ended up going nearly two months without hot water, the first maintenance guy left it saying it may not happen again (it did) and then had a maintenance request sit for three weeks until someone finally came and got it fixed. Then there were cracks forming in the ceiling from what seemed to be water damage, I make a request and the manager comes to look the same evening. She mentioned that she'll get someone in to fix it and no one ever did (I will be incredibly upset if this gets removed from my deposit). From there the lack of upkeep in and outside the building was incredibly disappointing for paying nearly $1000 a month to be there. Hallways are stained by trash and stairwells reek of dog urine, did for the entire year. Grass growing incredibly tall and walkways being overgrown to where the sidewalk was barely visible. Yards haven't been mowed in MONTHS and only were once the lease was ending so the new group of students can be fooled into the same experience I had. I cannot in good faith recommend this complex at the prices it rents for, for how poorly the property is treated.

pipe bust in my apt which flooded two of the four rooms. Maintenance came and took the water out after the first day. After multiple phone calls and talks with everyone, it took a total of 10 weeks to get water back into our apartment. Not only that but it was impossible to get gold of them. We had to contact a higher up phone number which STILL did not get back to us. We were only given a 2 bedroom apartment for the 4 of us living in here. When they finally started making the repairs, they had found mold in the bathroom where the vanity was. This makes it even worse because two of us were sleeping in a room with black mold.
