The location of Union Tempe is excellent, but unfortunately that’s where most of the positives end. Before signing a lease here, prospective residents should be aware of several ongoing issues. Maintenance requests often take an unreasonably long time to be addressed, and the elevator situation is one of the biggest frustrations. This is a 20-story building with only three elevators, and it seems like at least one is constantly out of service. I live on the 10th floor and have had to wait over 10 minutes for an elevator on multiple occasions. At one point, I ended up carrying a 40-pound suitcase down 10 flights of stairs because waiting for an elevator simply wasn’t practical. The building itself is not particularly well maintained, and there are often unpleasant odors throughout the property. Common areas could benefit from much more consistent cleaning and upkeep. The staff, from the front desk to upper management, have generally been unhelpful and difficult to work with. Communication is poor, information is not always provided proactively, and management was unwilling to accommodate me when I attempted to transfer apartments. I also had several negative interactions with front desk staff that left me feeling unwelcome whenever I needed assistance. Rather than feeling supported as a resident, I often felt like my concerns were treated as an inconvenience. Perhaps most disappointing was the condition of my apartment at move-in. It was extraordinarily dirty and clearly had not been properly prepared for a new resident. Despite bringing these concerns to management’s attention, little was done to address the situation. Overall, Union Tempe benefits from a convenient location, but the poor maintenance, recurring elevator issues, lack of cleanliness, and disappointing customer service made my experience far below expectations. For the amount residents pay to live here, I expected a significantly higher standard of management and upkeep.

Union Tempe has been awesome from day 1! The whole office team is super friendly and helpful, and Lucas is the goat. Great amenities and perfect location. The local construction is unfortunate, but of course that's not Union's fault lol. I'd recommend this apartment to anyone looking to move to the area!

My grandson decided to live at this location. My daughter and her husband visited the first visit. I was fortunate to go on the 2nd visit. The location was clean, vibrant, warm environment. The younger staff at the front were kind and attentive. There is a very beautiful young manager - who passed us before entering an office. She was so nice and soft tempered. At that moment - I knew my grandson was in the right place. I don’t know the young ladies name but she was very pretty.

If you are a parent considering this apartment for your student, please reconsider. My daughters unit was not only just dirty when she moved in, it was filthy. The hot water would not work and it took days to repair. The smoke alarm was chirping and that also took days to correct. The key fob is a digital key that often times would stop working and would lock her out of the unit and even entry I to the building itself. Trying to get help from the staff and front desk is next to impossible. They are hard to reach (even in a case of an emergency) and when you do finally speak to someone, they meet you with an attitude. This apartment was a massive mistake and messed up my daughters year of college.

I just had a tour at Union Tempe a few days ago and was helped by Lucas R. He was extremely knowledgeable, very kind, sweet, and helpful. I loved my experience there. The place is very beautiful and convenient since it’s close to ASU campus and very good restaurants. I would recommend checking this place out and if you need help with absolutely anything, let Lucas R help you out because he was amazing.
