I live at Campus West, and overall it has been a comfortable place to stay. The location is convenient and makes it easy to get to campus, restaurants, and stores around Gainesville. The community is usually quiet, which is nice, and the area feels practical for student living. Overall, it is a solid option if you want to live close to everything.

Roaches all over the place and surrounding the apartment building. No security and my neighbors bike got stolen. Frats are so loud I can feel their bass from 2 blocks away. Bus is rarely on time. And they hold like 0 events. They advertise this place like it’s different from all the other crap places around Tallahassee and they slap exorbitant rent prices to “prove” it. You’re better off getting the same experience at University Village for 600 rather than 1000 here.

Everything happened yesterday, the day my room was delivered. When I arrived, the apartment smelled strongly of marijuana. More concerning, the smoke detectors had their batteries removed, and there was visible burn damage on the sofas caused by lighters. When I reported this yesterday, staff told me I would need to wait until Monday to speak with a manager. Meanwhile, these safety and fire hazards remain unresolved. I am not involved in any of these activities. I strongly recommend that anyone moving in carefully inspect the apartment on day one and document everything. Safety should be a priority. Edit:Management has now addressed my situation and confirmed that I will be moved to another room. I just need to wait one more day for the transfer, which I appreciate. However, my main concern remains that someone in one of the buildings is causing fire-related damage while smoke detectors were disabled. This represents a serious safety risk not just for one resident, but for the entire community. I hope this issue is fully addressed to prevent any future incidents.

My daughter lived there this past school year (just moved out). Overall, it was an excellent experience! This was her first apartment so I was nervous. I felt really safe with her there - and more importantly, she felt extremely safe. It is close to everything. They have little trails that take you straight to FSU in a half mile and over to Target. There is a Publix across the street. Everyone in the front office is especially kind and helpful. The few maintenance requests that were submitted were answered usually within an hour. The units are very modern! I appreciated that utilities were included as it made it a lot easier for her to budget her expenses. The community has a lot of little events as well, which are nice. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Campus West overall.
