Uncommon Apartment, syracuse-ny

It is totally disaster here. Make sure it would never be your choice in Syracuse. It looks perfectly on website but it is way different when you move in. The office will never respond you in terms of furniture change, even though you pay for the furniture rent and insurance. The sofa was too bad to use when I first came here. I requested couple times in 3 month but it never worked. Disgusting place. The pics were taken when the first day I moved in.

Lived here for a year from 2021-2022. Pros: Location (easy walk to SU campus--and being close to hospitals mean that the surrounding roads get plowing priority in the Winter), updated kitchens/appliances, good closet space (particularly in the primary bedroom), cable/WiFi inclusion, app-based laundry system, central air/heat. Maintenance is relatively responsive you just sometimes had to reach out directly in addition to submitting via the online portal. The in-building gym is quite small and it would be difficult to have more than one in there at the same time, but it was nice to have. However: the two bedroom units aren't really designed to be two separate bedrooms for two adults. The second doesn't have a true external window and can barely fit a full-sized bed (especially not with other furniture). We had mice throughout the year (possibly related to the construction downstairs, but none the less) and could not get rid of them. The fire alarms would go off often (likely due to sharing space with a cafe). As I mentioned, it sometimes took some prodding to get management's attention.

I resided here for a few years. I saw mice, management was often unresponsive, the laundry machines broke often, and it could get loud due to the fact that many undergraduate students lived there as well as the two restaurants underneath. I will say that the location is decent and they’ve done well to modernize the building overall, but the other factors drove me to leave.

Beautiful building with all the amenities. Prime location near SU, medical campuses, a few blocks from downtown and Westcott. Off street parking is available and makes life so much easier. Management has been responsive and attentive to any requests for service or with other issues.

The management is very incompetent and unfriendly. They couldn't manage the trash room on each floor and had to shut it. Rent was not adjusted. Neighbors had mice problems. The management was unable to address this issue as well. DO NOT CONSIDER LIVING HERE. Not worth the price.
