Copper Beech Commons Student Housing, syracuse-ny

Turned the AC off durring a heatwave for some reason. Furniture is cheap and there's no windows in bedrooms. It's kinda like living in a shipping container. Convinient and decent enough for a first apartment or student housing

Air b&b a room... and idk what they're used for other wise.. But wow It beats a hotel anyday. Like sure, bring your own pillow, if you have trouble sleeping where you lay. But for the price. And what you got. Wow. Definitely worth it if you need to spend any amount of time in the area. Parking. And close to pretty much anything. And the rooms! They're huge! The walls might be a tad thin. But what ever. The heat is controlled as a building... but open a window. And you're fine Would recommend

I moved to Copper Beech Commons this year, and it has exceeded my expectations! The apartments are modern and comfortable, with all the amenities you need. The management (Darya and team) is incredibly responsive and genuinely cares about residents. They are welcoming, and the staff is always ready to help. The location is ideal, with easy access to campus and local shops. The events and services organized by the staff foster a great sense of community. Highly recommend for any student looking for a friendly atmosphere! I’m so glad I chose to live here, I couldn't ask for a better student housing experience! its been a fantastic experience living at Copper Beech Commons!

Affordable and in a great area! The amenities are many (gym, yoga room, game room, cafe area with vending machines, study lounge, and more). Also, the front desk and maintenance are always on top of things once you call, which is so helpful! The complex has a shuttle that takes residents to campus, and also takes them on trips to the grocery store, Target, the mall, etc. on the weekend. I give CBC 4 stars bc there are a few downsides, including not having a window in the bedrooms (Building A), thin walls with strange acoustics (I could hear everything going on in the room next to me, as well as the apartment beneath me; sometimes it sounded like the noise was coming from above too even though there are no apartments above), and the ac/heat isn't fully adjustable. On a few occasions, it gets way too hot or way too cold and you can only change the temperature by so much. For the price, however, I'd say living here was a steal! The residents are diverse, the amenities are great, and it's walking distance from Syrcause's main campus, many restaurants, and a couple of pharmacies.

Although Copper Beech is conveniently located in close proximity to most campuses in the area which is advantageous, there are numerous drawbacks to living in this complex. Building A does not have any windows in the bedrooms, bathrooms, or kitchen. In the winter months the heating for the building is controlled centrally which leaves the thermostat in my apartment reading 85-90 degrees most days WITH NO ESCAPE FROM THE HEAT DUE TO THE LACK OF WINDOWS. The lack of window in my loft room oftentimes leaves me having nightmares of a kitchen fire below me with no way to escape. Furthermore, there is a lack of surveillance of the parking lots meaning anybody can let their friends into the lots, so if you pay 600 dollars to park in the main lot don’t assume you will always be able to find parking. Also the staff at this complex tend to enter apartments using their own keys without warning or permission.
