DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY there are plenty of rental opportunities in Syracuse, find literally any other option. They are negligent, sketchy, and hire horrible horrible contractors. They broke 3 windows during the year I rented from them, including a window that was replacing a different broken window (they then left the broken replacement installed in the house for months, with a piece of caution tape over it). They only fixed those windows because code enforcement wrote them up for it, despite our multiple maintenance requests. Code enforcement was there because my neighbors, also an SQL property, did not have heat or electricity for 3 months in the dead of Syracuse winter before anything was done about it. They fully re-sided the house while we lived in it, which was extremely disruptive. Our house had a windowed in porch and they fixed it by boarding up all the windows. They came into our home and moved our furniture to put in new floors, without notice. This was a pattern as maintenance routinely entered without prior warning, which is illegal. They hire extremely messy and unprofessional contractors who drink on the job (in our backyard and on our roof at the beginning of the year). For weeks, our driveway was full of nails, construction materials, and tools, well after their poorly done renovations where completed. They left ladders against the house, one of which fell onto our power line. My roommates were asked to give positive google reviews. If I remember correctly, there is a qr code to review in the SQL office. This is my honest review of their poor property management. They buy these houses, flip them, and rent to unsuspecting students. The construction is done poorly, which puts residents at risk. I would give negative stars if possible.

I had a great experience with Student Quality Living (SQL), and I especially want to highlight the outstanding support I received from Stephanie, the property manager. Moving into a new place can be stressful, but Stephanie made the entire process smooth and hassle-free. From the very beginning, she was professional, responsive, and genuinely helpful. She guided me through every step of the move-in process, answered all my questions patiently, and ensured that everything was ready before I arrived. Her attention to detail and commitment to residents really stood out. The property itself is well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, which made settling in much easier. Thanks to Stephanie’s support, I felt welcomed and confident that I made the right choice. I truly appreciate her efforts and would highly recommend Student Quality Living to anyone looking for a reliable and supportive housing experience.

Great experience working with this rental company. I used their services to accommodate my workers, and everything was handled smoothly. They were very helpful, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire process, which made things much easier for me and my team. The secretary is a lovely person—very kind, professional, and always willing to help. I truly appreciate the level of service provided and would definitely recommend them.

Renewed our lease with SQL for another year! Management and maintenance are always very supportive of all our needs throughout the year! Highly recommend

edit: after making my review they did kindly reach out to me about putting my into a new apartment which I have moved into. Every with that has been fine for the most part! however I’m only giving it a 4 star as my previous experience did cause me a lot of stress, and turbulence with my job. and I just wouldnt recommend to anyone who required high speed wifi. But just for casual usage works just fine! I am only making this post to get their attention because they are incredibly unresponsive at most times. They rarely answer my text or calls. The only way I can ever get their attention is if i go to their office in person but i feel like that shouldnt even be the case. However, they are very sweet in person. I am looking for them to switch my apartment as the only reason why I chose a studio was to have my own wifi. I work in tech so its essential for me to have regular working wifi but since they arent able to get that to work for me i dont see a point in paying 1100 a month if i have to drive else where for proper connection. Not great for students unless youre planning on working on campus
