Do not rent here!! This is a bait and switch operation with leasing “as-is” united after being shown a “model”. My daughter was shown a clean, well-maintained model duplex during the leasing process, but the duplex she received was in much worse condition. It had not been properly cleaned and was absolutely filthy, the HVAC vents and return were dirty and the unit appeared to have been on fire at some point causing black smut on every AC register and surrounding ceiling, the walls and fixtures were grimy, old molded dishwasher, oven damaged, windows filthy, broken locks and windows, leaking washing machine, broken ice maker and none of these maintenance issues were disclosed during the “model” tour. If you’re considering renting here, insist on seeing the exact unit you’ll be leasing before signing anything—not just a model.GSU students BEWARE!

I just moved in and my unit was in rough shape. The new maintenance head assured me that repairs would be made quickly and efficiently. He definitely delivered, in less than a week, I have gotten a new floor, had all smoke detectors changed, had all door knobs replaced, and had several electrical outlets repaired. I understand that this place has some funky reviews but I am confident the new maintenance crew is working hard to ensure tenants have a safe and comfortable living space. I am positive that I have made the right decision to spend my college career at The Islands!

Genuinely the best management team you could ask for. Maggie is the best! They’re very quick to respond when you need anything and very helpful. Definitely recommend leasing here

Todd came to our unit and replaced our stove oven and fixed our outside outlet. He was super nice and helpful. totally recommend

Lauren Venable is literally an angel! I had to get documents to purchase a car and she helped me with all of it, back and forth phone calls because the bank needed more documentation, and she was patient and so happy to help me. I would not recommend enough how sweet the staff are in the front compared to most leasing offices in statesboro where I live previously. I could not thank Lauren enough!
