The maintenance team have been coming in and out my unit for a month now almost every day often coming empty handed no tools or anything. “Preparing for new roommates” But leaving after only being there for a few minutes. This morning I walk out to my kitchen with a robe on as I’m the only current tenant in my unit and I have been for over a MONTH! To see my front door LOCKED and maintenance was in the next bedroom with the door closed “painting” I heard no knock or any acknowledgment of him entering the unit. Mind you a second maintenance staff came in for the other bedroom after I went to the front office to report what happened I couldn’t even speak. WHY would you locked the front door with you still being in the unit with the bedroom door closed. Grown man and I’m a young female . This is the most scariest and creepiest experience I have ever had in my LIFE! I thought someone broke in as I didn’t hear a sound until I came out my room and saw the bedroom light on it was as if he snuck into my apartment. Also, beware they want you to clean this or have someone clean up when you move in and it looks like this. They show you a fake show room and it looks nothing like the apartments beware! They are also giving out rewards for reviews be caution when renting here. While I did look forward to the renovating of the club house and leasing office but it seems they don’t care about the buildings in the back that need some real upgrades and care and should most definitely come first before renovations to the leasing office that was well kept. As these conditions of mold and dust build up is not good for anyone health. I put in multiple requests to be denied and then this is outrageous!

If I could leave no stars, I would. This is genuinely the worst living experience I have ever been through. The first apartment they tried to put me in was infested with mold and a roommate who clearly smoked in the apartment. So much for the cleaning fee I had to pay. All the front office staff had to say about that was "yeah, we figured you would say that" to a completely unlivable rooming situation. Then I got moved over to a different room where my new roommate violated the lease left and right. Having your partner spend the night every night knowing you both are LOUD in every way possible is ridiculous. smoking weed IN the apartment is ridiculous. You know what the complex did about it? nothing. Not until my parents came up and moved me out because I was too scared to live there anymore. This was after MULTIPLE complaints and MULTIPLE emails sent to them. The absolute shadiest apartment complex in all of Georgia.

I have debated sharing this story for many reasons, but I ultimately have come to the conclusion that no college student should have to endure what I went through sophomore year of college. The Vine at Bermuda Run in Statesboro GA ( Formally known as Market 100) is not the place you want to be. I was a resident there from August 2024 to June of 2025. I am especially frustrated because they market themselves as affordable student housing and even have a partnership with Georgia Southen University. Upon move in I was very disappointed in the quality of the unit and upkeep of the property. My kitchen cabinets were filled with mold, The ceiling and walls were stained from previous tenants smoking. The apartment was not clean upon me receiving my keys. When calling maintenance about the mold in the cabinets they came over and wiped it off with a clorox wipe. This was only the beginning of my worst nightmare. A few weeks later my roommate discovered bedbugs in this room that was part of my 4X4. They insisted that they were not previously there, but when I requested the pest history on my unit for the past 12 months they denied. This is absolute at no fault of the staff who was kind always and tried to make the situation better. The management of this property which is based out of NC btw is who needs to be held accountable. This apartment was the most awful experience I have ever had. When I tried to move out early because of conditions that were unsafe. I was met with more fees and would have had to essentially pay for them to sublease my unit. They do not fix up the units but instead continue to charge residents over and over again for previous tenants damages. This is how they make their profits. I am hoping that this will be a cautionary tale to any college student who may be looking for affordable college housing. This is not worth the money, hassle, or expense.

Do not rent there. It may be cheaper than other places, but there is a reason for that. They charge tenants unfairly for things they did not do, and sometimes for issues they were never even told about until the bill arrived. The management team is rude and unreasonable. They are the ones who impose the charges and then pressure you to pay them. Once you sign a contract, it feels like you are stuck. They do little or nothing to address roommate problems, yet they seem eager to find ways to charge tenants extra money. They may even bill you for damage caused by a previous tenant. From my experience, this appears to be a pattern.

Dont rent here ! They do everything in their power to get extra money from you. Will charge you for damages caused by previous tenant. They give out incentives for good reviews, dont trust them. Roommates are give and take, mine is actively harassing me and the complex wont let me switch or end my lease unless I give them more money. They plan on keeping your deposit, so dont expect that back. They come to do inspections every few months just so they can find random things to charge you with, like their repair teams bad patch jobs. They literally painted over a roach in the bathroom. Bugs are a problem even though they have pest control, fruit flies and roaches still persist. Dog poop is left everywhere so be careful where you walk, my upstair neighbors let their dog poop off their balcony and it got on my personal outdoor furniture but market does not care. Dont even try putting in noise complaints they also do not care. You can hear everything within your apartment and the one above or below you. Parking spots are super small and no one parks correctly so expect that little frustration. The water pressure is also wacky, we couldnt use the shower and dishwasher or washer machine at the same time, i have been told other apartments are not like this but it is something to be mindful about. All the appliances are outdated and have constant issues, our dryer wasn't even proper hooked up and we had to fix it ourselves. They keep increasing rent without doing anything to the complex. They are able to afford to change the landscaping every season so obviously they have some change in their pocket but what do i know. The staff inside all has an attitude problem and are rude during inspections. They do not interact and treat you like animals. They are not strict with animals either and my neighbors dog is always barking for hours on end. When it rains the back patio floods up to the back door, and has seeped into our apartment before. This is real bad during hurricane season. This apartment complex is not worth it! There are multiple places in statesboro that will give you a better living situation. Editing to add that they are still the worst! Heres some pictures of the community areas, the pool is never clean all the furniture is stained and its hardly ever open. The volleyball net is just a sand patch with a ton of grass in it. The main area with the gym is always a mess, no one puts weights back or cleans up after themselves. And now the scumlords are charging me $150 for fleas when i did not have an animal on my lease and the rest of the apartment did not get charged. They dont care about you and only want your money! As you can see with the attached photos, the club house is a mess and nothing is treated with respect. The printer is always out of paper as well.
