Eighteen18 at Southern, statesboro-ga

Great experience at Eighteen18 at Southern! My son signed with them months ago, but we hadn't seen the property yet — so while we were down a few weeks ago for SOAR for our daughter, we stopped by to tour it. We arrived right before closing, but the staff were still so friendly and accommodating, and Nauseen kindly gave us a full tour anyway. Communication has been excellent throughout. Excited for him to move in!

New management is absolutely rubbish. Good riddance to this place. It was great until new management took over. Money over everything else. No matter how ludacris the charges were. My roommates and I kept our apartment exceptionally clean. Each time they came they commented on how well maintained our space was ( i have the video evidence from our home cameras to prove it). We always requested maintenance in a timely manner if we noticed anything was wrong. And did our best to maintain our space as best as possible. We even used chair and sofa covers for about a year until we decided we didn't need them anymore because we barely used the furniture. Well, we should've kept them. Charged us for damages to the chair and sofa. We challenged the charges, they dropped the sofa charges and refused to drop the other for whatever reason. Now I'm seeing a $266.67 charge for paint damage in common area and bed/bath), common area carpet cleaning (my apartment was a renovated model-those dont have carpets in the common area), bathroom and bedroom cleaning. One of my roommates even had a professional cleaner clean the apartment 1 day before our lease ended. Side note-how do we all get charged the exact same amount for damages when we all had separate rooms? What are the chances we cause the exact same damages. Absolutely despise these people. The old management was dearly missed. These people have lost their minds. If you live here or plan to, be prepared to be charged out of all orifices for bogus damages. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

1818 is a very convenient place to live. I love the area that it’s in, as well as the way that the houses are built. I love having my own room and kitchen area without having to go up a thousand stairs. However, my main gripe with living here currently is that the current utility and internet company sucks. Every few days, the electrical outlet in the bathroom doesn’t work, the bath gets clogged with general use, and we have power outages more often than need be. Furthermore, the first 2-3 months of moving in, our washing machine did not work and we got no assistance with that. We had to wait for a new washing machine to be ordered and installed without being able to wash anything. We had to go to the laundromat and pay to wash things there at the same time as paying rent and utility. On top of that, our internet has not worked for the entirety of our lease. Maybe the first month of so, but after that, it hasn’t worked. We’ve been here for like 8 months so far with no wifi. We have contacted the office about it and they said they can’t do anything because it’s individual modems, and when we contact the internet company they are extremely unhelpful. Not to mention we have roaches and rats for no reason. Our dishwasher also doesn’t drain or work and we’ve put in multiple work orders for that. I appreciate the maintenance team yall are great!

The staff here is extremely helpful. I had a hard time finding a place to stay at statesboro, but eighteen18 made sure I had a place to go. They also offer many giveaways (I won a box full of comfy items!). I like that if I have any sort of issues, I can go to the front office and get it solved in a quick manner. I've been using the gym here and absolutely love the stuff they have to offer. I highly recommend this place!

Just toured here and honestly really liked it! Everyone was so nice and easy to talk to. They explained everything really well and were super transparent about all the charges which I appreciated. The tulu and package lockers are such cute upgrades too. Definitely one of my favorite tours so far!
