We had tons of questions throughout the process, and she was always patient, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. Her professionalism and friendliness made the entire experience easy and stress-free. I lived in Nittany Gardens at Waupelani Drive. My experience was positive... the apartment was neat and spacious and the office staff were always friendly. And the maintenance men were seriously the friendliest people ever. Overall a nice, quiet living experience. It's a cheap way to live if you don't mind living far off campus. I rode my bike to campus and also had a car as a backup. Bus route was also available. EDIT: UPDATE. JUST GOT BACK MY SECURITY DEPOSIT. I CLEANED MY APARTMENT VERY WELL YET THEY CHARGED HUNDREDS IN CLEANING FEES. DO NOT EXPECT TO GET BACK YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. SAD!

This is my second lease here. The houses are pretty clean, the neighborhood is very good and green, you don’t have to care for parking permits here, and frankly there’s always space for more cars. The maintenance here is always good, they almost always respond immediately. Even on weekends, we got emergency response from them. They helped every way they can. I lost my car keys once, and found them in the office, someone nice must have left it there. Their balcony is very spacious, and not in any way shared with another balcony (which may not be the case in other apartments like Vairo, College Court or Parkway Plaza). A few things I don’t like: during inspections, after knocking, they will go into your room and start doing their works. Another thing: they will deduct a good amount from your deposit to clean the apartment and the carpet. We left the apartment in a pretty nice shape, still they deducted ~$300. I get that they are professional, but this cleaning costs far less in other apartment housings.

Absolute worst renting experience of my life. I’ve had some bad experiences in state college, but the apartment store takes the cake. From the very first day I moved in I had issues. The apartment I moved into was not cleaned. There was mold all over the carpet, in the shower, and the air conditioning unit was broken. The doors on the closets looked like they were from 1955, and there was dust and dirt everywhere. We were able to get some things fixed, but other things were never replaced or fixed. About 6 months into my lease there was a leak coming from the celling in my bathroom. It took the apartment store an entire week to send someone over to check my leak after I called and put in a maintenance request. After doing almost nothing to stop the leak, I continued to call back until they finally took the problem seriously. They ended up ripping up my entire bathroom wall. It took almost an entire month to get my apartment back in shape and the people who repaired the leak never cleaned up after themselves. I had to request another set of cleaners come by. On the day of my move out, I was promised I would get my full security deposit back. That didn’t happen. They subtracted 160 dollars for no reason at all. The staff is rude and insensitive. Please do not rent through these people.

The administration seems good however the apartment in Nicholas Towers was absolutely filthy, even the toilet !!. Spent hours cleaning before we could even unpack. They say they have a cleaning service you can request to come back and clean but realistically you just have to get on and do it yourself rather than wait around. Furniture too is broken or old and filthy. For the amount of rent charged it should be clean !!
