Live here for the past two years and if I weren’t graduating in May I’d totally renew my lease. It’s a nice place to live! Especially for the amount of room you’re getting for the price you’re paying!!! Management has room for improvement but they are truly very nice as well and they try their best.

State college collectives Aaron II, Very disappointing experience with management and maintenance. A newly installed AC unit fell from the window shortly after installation, and instead of properly investigating the installation itself, management immediately blamed my guest without any video or objective evidence. What was especially frustrating was that maintenance initially claimed the side fins remained attached in the window, but photos taken immediately after the incident clearly showed the fins/panels had fallen together with the AC unit. Despite this contradiction, they continued placing responsibility on us and even added inaccurate notes to the maintenance record. The unit also did not appear to have proper external safety bracketing/support installed, despite housing/property safety codes requiring AC units to be securely supported and safely installed. This raised serious concerns about the safety and stability of the installation itself. Rather than addressing those concerns, management focused on shifting responsibility to the tenant. Communication from maintenance was also rude and unprofessional during the incident. As a tenant, I expected a fair and unbiased review of a serious safety issue, especially involving a window AC installation. I hope management improves both installation safety practices and the way resident concerns are handled in the future.

I would not rent here! The apartments are not maintained well at all. It takes forever to have an issue addressed and multiple maintenance requests must be put in before the issue actually gets fixed. Not to mention the place is dirty. When I rented the apartment it hadn’t been cleaned. The bathroom looked like it wasn’t cleaned in years and the carpets and walls looked like they haven’t been cleaned or painted since the place was built!!

We really enjoy living in this community. Our apartment is spacious, and the location is excellent: especially being in Aaron 2, with easy access to Tom Tudek Park and nearby bus stops. It’s convenient and makes getting around simple. There have been a few issues with maintenance at times, which could be improved.

I’ve really enjoyed my time living at State College Collective on Farmstead this past semester. The community feels welcoming, the amenities are convenient, and the location made getting around State College super easy. The staff has always been friendly and responsive whenever I had questions or needed help, and I appreciated the events and overall atmosphere throughout the year. It’s been a comfortable place to live during such a busy time as a student, and I’m grateful for the experience. I’d definitely recommend it to other students looking for affordable housing in the area!
