The office staff is so friendly here and willing to help with any questions or issues! Although there were some issues with the property such as the pool being out of service and unfortunately their air conditioning broke while switching from boiler to chiller, the maintenance team was on site and the office was doing there best to make sure we stayed comfortable and even installed a portable air conditioning unit! This was really appreciated and I enjoyed my stay at Parkway Plaza so far and will be sad to leave!!

The staff is so kind, rent is cheap, although a little outdated, it’s still very up kept and all utilities work great, and it’s clean. We love living here, although it’s not perfect we’ve made it into our home and it’s affordable for us. It’s nice to have the free bus pass, and other amenities like the gym and vending machines, and the leasing office really tries to do their best to make everyone happy and make this place a community. No other apartment complex I’ve seen offers Thanksgiving dinner at no charge, free drinks and snacks, free giveaways on their social media, and so much more. We live in A building and we’ve never had any problems, we’ve had maintenance come a couple times for minor repairs and they took a day to respond to non emergency requests and they were always super respectful and quick. To debunk the rumor that the leasing office gives incentives for positive reviews is not true, they asked for any reviews positive or not for an incentive.

The apartment community is very quiet and peaceful, which makes it easy to relax and study. The office staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and responsive whenever I have questions or need assistance. The rooms are a really nice size with plenty of space, and the location is very convenient since it’s close to campus, stores, and other everyday essentials. The cleanliness is okay overall.

After nine years of living at the ol' Parkway, through both of my grad degrees it's time for me to move on to a more adult-centric community. My feelings on the place are... complicated... as there's been some good and some (really) bad aspects to living here, but that will be a whole separate review. This one is more specific to some recent positives that I felt were worth mentioning. When I first moved in there was a maintenance guy named Mike (Michael?) who was excellent in taking care of the building, but he left a number of years back and things devolved into mediocrity. It's an older building, so there's gonna be problems, but follow through and communication went to pot quickly and you never quite knew the when's, what's or why's of things being busted. An elevator would go out of service, no notice... or the water would get shut off... no explanation... these were not uncommon. Thankfully they hired a new guy named Hasham a few years back who has really busted his arse to get things back up and running and to let us know WHY things were a mess. I'd run into him coming or going from the maintenance room in my building (C) and he'd have time estimates, a quick explanation, and maybe most important he seemed genuinely concerned about fixing whatever was broken. I don't envy the guy, as it seems something is always broken at Parkway, but I really appreciate his promptness and professionalism when it came to making the place as livable as possible. Thank you Hash for making my student housing experience as livable as possible.

DO NOT BELIEVE ANY REVIEW ABOVE 1 STAR. I couldn’t understand how this place had any good reviews until I saw comments saying that management allegedly offers food in exchange for positive reviews. If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. There is not one single good thing I can say about this place or its management, they are ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. When I first moved in, the unit was disgusting. The carpets were covered in stains, the bathtub still had someone else’s hair in it, the sofa smelled terrible, the kitchen counters were greasy and stained, and there was even an onion peel from the previous tenant still sitting in the cabinet. To make things worse, the balcony screen door was ripped off and just thrown on the balcony, the balcony lock didn’t work, and neither did the window lock in the living room. I asked repeatedly for the apartment to be cleaned. After several requests, all they offered me was a gift card to rent a carpet cleaner myself, because “they had already tried to remove the stains but were unsuccessful.” Spoiler alert: the stains came out on my first try. And just when I thought things couldn’t get any worse, their cheap and careless management decided to hire what was probably the cheapest contractor they could find to do roof repairs. Unsurprisingly, the contractor left open holes in the roof, right before it rained for two days straight. The result? Massive flooding throughout Building B. Maintenance woke me up three times that night (at midnight, 3 a.m, and 4 a.m) banging on my door and coming into my apartment to check the damage (the only time I didn’t open the door myself, they got into the apartment and left all lights on and the door unlocked). The nightmare didn’t stop there. For weeks after the flooding, random workers were entering my apartment daily, sometimes without even knocking. The hallway leading to my apartment looked like a demolition zone, full of debris and mold (see photos). This place is an absolute disgrace. Management is unprofessional, unresponsive, and completely careless about tenants’ safety or comfort. They do the absolute bare minimum to avoid being sued while squeezing every last dollar they can out of their tenants. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save yourself the stress, the health risks, and the disgusting living conditions, go literally anywhere else.
